I've had 6 of these laptops in 2 years. I've paid for the extended warranty and had to have them replaced for so many reasons. Now since its only a few months old and won't stop shutting down repeatedly, Asurion won't cover anything the first year because Gateway is supposed to under the manufacturer warranty. Gateway employees talk over you, treat you like you're a moron and then tell you that in order for them to help repair the laptop, you'll have to buy software for $200/year! ... show more

Spoke with the vendor from the direct number included in the package to call them first before returning product and confirmed the internet speed of the computer is ony 2.5 vs the 5. It was never in the description that the computer cannot connect to school internet. It has all the software including Microsoft office 365 but it cannot connect to school website? I was asked to do some repair on the computer which I do not want to do as I bought the computer new. I do not have the box anymore so I want them to send me a new one with the internet for school connection. ... show more

The first one I bought had no network adapter and could not connect to the internet. Returned that one and got a replacment and this one only has 2G capability not 5G and can not use a wifi card. It connects but will disconnect when you try to do anything.

I have two Gateway laptops and I regret both purchases. One laptop was used for 3 weeks and I 1)got the screen of death and had to restore, 2) some of the keyboard letters stopped working and I had to restore and 3)the charging port totally stopped working. 3 WEEKS IN!! The other laptop is faring a bit better but has same keyboard issue and also lags ALOT. I have very fast internet at home but often am unable to use Microsoft Teams or Zoom without being frozen. I was initially excited about the Gateway comeback but I will NEVER buy a Gateway again. Total wasted of money!!! ... show more
