This is a really nice induction range. Most of the ones that I have seen are single-burner. It really couldn't be simpler to use. Just place a pan (or pans) on the burner and turn it on. Choose a temperature or wattage, and away you go! Of course, because it's an induction burner, you have to have a pan or pot that is ferromagnetic. They even provide a little magnet for you to use to test the cooking vessel. If the magnet sticks, you're good to go! I didn't realize that of all of the pots and pans I own, only a few are useable with induction burners. If you place an incompatible cooking vessel on one of the burners, an error code flashes and it beeps at you loudly. I wish that it would give you a few seconds, because if you pick the pan up to move it around, the beeping and error is immediate. That's a very minor complaint. Cleaning is super easy since the top is just a sheet of heavy-duty glass. Just wipe it off and it's spotless! The "turbo" mode is useful as well if you need a burst of extra heat. I usually use it by just setting a temperature and leaving it there. I really like it for making scrambled eggs because you can easily set the perfect temperature. Although the unit is large, it's very thin. I store it vertically in a very narrow gap between my refrigerator and a cabinet and you'd never notice it. This really comes in handy when you're doing a big meal and you need extra burners. Just set it up on an appropriate counter space and voila! Two extra burners! It's also good for RV camping, but if your RV has limited storage than you might want a single burner model instead.

Ok - so this is not just some portable electric stove. This is pretty sophisticated. It does have to be plugged in to work. I don’t think there is an option to charge. The flat top has two burners and two sets of controls. Now this is the important part - it is an induction stove and that means you need induction compatible cookware. This comes with a detailed user manual, but more importantly, it comes with this magnet testing tool that you can use to test your pots and pans. If it sticks, it is compatible and will work with this stove - if not, then it will not work. From what I understand, this is not just a typical electric flat top that uses heating elements to create heat. This uses a type of magnetic force to generate heat in the cookware to heat up your food. Based on the information in the manual, it seems any type of stainless steel or cast iron cookware should work. This does have some power to it. If you use a single burner, it will generate up to 1500 watts (using the boost feature). If you use both, it does not allow any boost - but a single burner can generate up to 1200 watts. Using the temperature data in the manual, a single burner on max will go up to 480 F. That is enough to sear a steak pretty well. Operating the stove is a bit noisy due to a cooling fan. Everything - all the controls/“buttons” are operated via a touch sensitive surface that is pretty responsive. It does seem to be quite energy efficient. This would actually be perfect for a camper truck or van, if you didn’t have a stove or cooktop. It is a great option for outdoor cooking as well - just need an outlet and maybe an extension cord. Unit is not too heavy and the surface seems rather durable and easy to clean. Just make sure to avoid using anything abrasive as it will scratch. Overall, happy with this. Good product so long as it doesn’t break!

Our camper has a gas stove and we don’t like using gas (yes it scares me). I got this thinking I could put it on top of the gas stovetop and use it instead. Boy am I glad I did! This is a quality stovetop. You should note that it is a convection stove top which means the cookware itself conducts the heat so you must use cookware that is conducive to doing so. Most of our cookware works for this and in case you have any doubt it comes with a magnet that allows you to test your cookware. If the magnet sticks you are good to go. It heats up very quickly and gets plenty hot, but if you are using both burners at once it doesn’t get quite as hot. Still hot enough though. Since it’s a conduction cooktop it’s a little noisier than other cooktops (just like my conduction cooktop at home). My husband is crazy about this cooktop which means he does more if the cooking when we are camping. Bonus for me!

The title says almost says it all. Cooking with induction is an experience. The cooktop is a perfect size to add as a backup. I have had the smaller single burner ones but this feels like a real stove top. All the features you could want. The top is beautiful so I got a couple of silicone sheets made to cover it while you cook. It is smooth and easy to clean but over time even little things can build up.
