I worked with gas appliances for 30 years. This cook top looks and works great. Very smooth operating valves. I bought the 4 year warranty but doubt I will need it. It wasn't exactly the same size as the cooktop we removed so we had to modify the cabinet . Burner grates seem to be heavy duty.

We bought the Gasland 36” cooktop to replace the one we had. It comes with a template to measure the hole before installation. We did have to cut off a very small corner of granite on each side of the back because we previously had an in counter exhaust hood that we removed. Thankful for the template to help with that. The cooktop was easy to install and the tips to convert it to propane were labeled so you didn’t have to guess. This is a wonderful feature if you’re installing yourself. One of the safety features of this cooktop is that you can’t accidentally turn on the gas without knowing it. I had that happen with our previous one while cleaning and set my CO alarms off. This cooktop was much less expensive than others we looked at but is a great quality, great performing appliance. It is easy to clean. I love the black with my black countertops. This cooktop is well worth the money.

Solid and easy to clean. Heat level good. Fit with minimal adjustments as the prior cook top was from the 70’s. Looks great I am so pleased all around.

This was a replacement for my 30+ year old gas cooktop. I was disappointed that even though the old and new cooktop are both 36” that the opening had to be cut larger. Also the gas connection was at the opposite end causing extra installation costs. This definitely was not a DIY project. The BTUs are hard to get used to. Even on the lowest burner the simmer is actually a low boil. I have to constantly watch the pot. I have to take the pot off the burner to cool down. There was no Owners Manual included. I do like the look of this cooktop. If I didn’t have to pay to have this uninstalled and a different one installed I definitely would return it.

... But is it worth the extra prixce you pay for this brand.... Ehhh thats subjective. I think its borderline. Ive seen cheaper versions of the same product but it is what it is. You do get what you pay for and this is no exception. The directions are super easy to follow and if you feel uncomfortable just find a plumber friend and let him take a crack at it. Yes plumbers hook up gas lines not HVAC guys. This is very clean and the dials are very easy to read as well as adjust for gas flow. Its super regulated and maintains even flow throughout all burners. Very easy to clean and has a large enough surface cook top for any application.

This cooktop offers excellent value for the price, and the customer service is outstanding. The flames are quite strong, even at the lowest setting. However, I found that using the control setting between high and off helped achieve a lower flame level.
