Tried to turn it on for the first time it sounded like grinding metal hard to crank then it started smoking and it backfired. I turned it off immediately letting go of the handle and when I tried again later it didn't work. Yes there was oil and gas I put the whole thing of oil it came with in there. I took the sparkplug out and let it sit then when it cooled down I tried again and nothing. Even changed the sparkplug. No bite. Smell of burning metal though and pulling it sounded ruff. Also two other things wrong with it the handle to drive it was unhinged and wouldn't fit back on no matter what I would have to drill a deeper hole into it or cut a piece off the handle to make it work instead it just hangs there. And the leveling is off like the alignment is off. When I push it its hard and sounds and feels like something is dragging. Definitely got a bad one, not sure how it passed QA or QC. It was packed well. But even the tool to remove the sparkplug was defective the rod to twist the wrench was way too big and didn't fit ... show more

I got it for $200 on sale. Even if it last a few years that will be fine. Easy to setup and came with the oil. Started right up and my only complaint is the self propel is slow and not adjustable.

Purchased in September of 2025. May of 2026 and it no longer starts. My husband is meticulous about taking care of this lawn care items and he is NOT happy about this lawnmower not working.

This mower is very light weight and can only be used for light mowing. Would not work for what I bought it for. I will credit Amazon for helping me out with returning this mower and replacing it with a heavy duty mower that cuts like I need it to cut.
