  • Es Goo !
Perfect replacement for Sears Craftsman 22" deck. bolt pattern matched perfect , the holes in the new engine block were not threaded so i just drove the original bolts in it with an impact gun, I bought a throttle control but really didnt need to use it , and it does have a blade brake that hooked up easy without any modding . it sits about 3/16" of an inch above the deck so there's a little air gap but it starts first pull and after a couple times mowing the grass that air gap will disappear. does not come with any oil , just a heads up, but i was up and running in less than an hour, even after i sharpened my blade. ... show more

  • Great replacement engine.
This engine runs great!! It started the first time I tried it after filling with gasoline and oil. I used it on some heavy grass and weeds that hadn’t been cut this entire season and it didn’t bog down or slow at all. I would recommend this engine to anyone looking for a strong reliable replacement engine. ... show more

  • Very short life. I would not buy this motor again.
Initially, the only issue I had with this motor was the mounting bolts were not tapped. I added oil and gas and it ran great. Started first pull. I was delighted. It did spit out some oil even though the dipstick showed the oil level was correct. Tightening the dipstick tube did not help. The next week, I used it and I noticed that it leaked from the carburetor - I'm guessing the float was sticking. Thankfully, I had installed a petcock so I simply shut the gas off when I was finished and this seemed to work - the carb fills at the same rate the engine consumes fuel. Today I was using it again, a mere two weeks after firing it up for the first time and all was well for about an hour. Then the engine only seemed to want to run just above idle. But it was working. I figured I'd check into it after I was finished. However, about a half an hour later, the engine started making some sputtering noises and then shut off. I tried to restart it and the motor feels like it's low on compression. I'm not investing any more time in this, it's going to the scrap yard. I would not buy this motor again. ... show more

  • Engine/mower attachment
The bolt holes did not match the mower deck, had to drill another hole, once I got it attached, it started up and works OK

  • Looks Great, But ! UPDATE TO MY PRIOR REVIEW - VERY PLEASED !
UPDATE TO MY PRIOR REVIEW FROM 2 STAR TO 5 STAR - The Seller contacted me and his engineer's determined the problem with the motor sent to me. They found the solution and have sent me the proper fix for the concerns. I am pleased with the Seller's Overnight response and solutions. My rating is now a 5 STAR ! THANK YOU SELLER. This Motor looks great. No complaints about packaging, arrival time, instructions, noise is typical, etc. But, the motor runs irregular, fast slow, fast slow, takes 5 to 10 minutes for it to calm down, but still does not run at a steady RPM. I used it once on a mower and it had good power to easily cut. After 30 minutes of use, and upon restart later. When pulling the start cable 3 times, it blew off the air cleaner cover, braking the hinge mounts and clip mounts that keep the plastic filter cover on the carburetor. The bang was loud and was not expected. I never had a motor do this before. UPDATE: I sent email to the Seller requesting replacement air cleaner cover. NO REPLY NOW TWO DAYS WAITING ! ... show more

  • Great replacement for log splitter
Great little replacement motor for my Huskee log splitter after the original B&S blew. Easy to install, vertical shaft and plenty of HP to push that piston through knotty wood.

  • So far it starts perfectly and sounds okay despite a few issues.
The mounting base did not exactly match my application (field trimmer) but I was able to drill the engine housing in one spot and drill the machine frame in another spot and it bolted down okay. There was no mention in the description, but be aware that this engine is set up for a steady governed RPM. It is not set up for a throttle/speed control cable. The only other issue: the manual shows an oil drain plug but the engine I received has no oil drain plug! I have not run the engine for more than ten minuets or so but it started immediately and sounds fine so far. ... show more
