  • Great little engine!
The engine starts on the first pull and runs great. Excellent price, so I'm tickled to death. Was it a direct bolt-on for the 125cc Briggs? No, but it didn't claim to be. I had to drill one hole in my mower deck. My blade adaptor fit the output shaft perfectly. Yours may not. If I had any complaints, it would be that the specifications are not detailed enough. You get a lot of information, but none of the really technical stuff. But that's pretty much with everything these days. ... show more

  • Bought 2
A little less powerful than you would expect, but work well. I've seen a lot of comments about the holes having no threading, which is true, but the old bolts will thread in as you tighten them. Fot the money - great deal. Had them both going in less than 30 minutes. I would / will buy again.

  • Very happy with this motor
Love this motor. Was cheaper than getting a whole new lawnmower. Has predrilled holes and others available to drill out, depending on what you're putting it on. Very powerful and easy to start. Very happy with it.

  • Very short life. I would not buy this motor again.
Initially, the only issue I had with this motor was the mounting bolts were not tapped. I added oil and gas and it ran great. Started first pull. I was delighted. It did spit out some oil even though the dipstick showed the oil level was correct. Tightening the dipstick tube did not help. The next week, I used it and I noticed that it leaked from the carburetor - I'm guessing the float was sticking. Thankfully, I had installed a petcock so I simply shut the gas off when I was finished and this seemed to work - the carb fills at the same rate the engine consumes fuel. Today I was using it again, a mere two weeks after firing it up for the first time and all was well for about an hour. Then the engine only seemed to want to run just above idle. But it was working. I figured I'd check into it after I was finished. However, about a half an hour later, the engine started making some sputtering noises and then shut off. I tried to restart it and the motor feels like it's low on compression. I'm not investing any more time in this, it's going to the scrap yard. I would not buy this motor again. ... show more

  • GREAT LITTLE MOTOR @ REASONABLE PRICE
Used this to replace a briggs&Stratton 550 140cc engine. On a troy built push mower EVERYTHING WAS DIRECT BOLT ON. Reused motor mount bolts, shaft bolt and plate along with blade mount. Only thing that needed done was i tapped the bolt holes for the engine. My test run was in the rain cutting 2.5" wet grass, Engine didnt even try to die. Obviously the bischarge got clogged but acted like a mulch plug. ... show more
