  • Final Review after re-evaluating this product
Size: 36 Inch Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop
FINAL REVIEW: We have liftoff! The manufacturer replaced the stovetop and we had it installed by a professional. Now it works perfectly! The stovetop is pre-configured at the factory, and apparently that was the issue with the first one. The stovetop was installed and the difference was immediate. The flames are normal, with the ability to raise and lower them normally. They light on the first try and stay lit. The stovetop is very attractive and the ONLY issue I am experiencing (and it is not a deal breaker) is the grill plates wobble a bit when they are placed in the indent to hold them in place. This is a slight wobble, not enough to make cooking an issue. Other than that, all the issues I had in the past have been totally resolved and the stovetop is working as well as one could hope for. The manufacturer was very responsive once we came to an agreement and they have been delightful to work with since. Good service, great product - glad we worked it out to my total satisfaction. UNDER REVIEW AGAIN: The seller has reached out to me again (there was a misunderstanding in our conversation) and they are sending me a replacement for the unit. Once I get it set up and tested I will RE-EDIT the review, and point out any positive changes. Please wait for my 3rd revision as it will then be final. ORIGINAL REVIEW: DANGEROUS - Flames are basically uncontrollable and it burned itself up - Terrible Cust. svc Other than appearance, this stovetop has been nothing short of a disaster! I ordered this stovetop in June of 22 and my contractors took a few month to finish the counter it was to be set in. They installed the stovetop in December of 22, and when I tried it out for the first time, I found I really had little control over the flames except by using the tank regulator and propane tank valve. The flames were very, very high (see the last image - this was on LOW) after all the adjustments. We either had NO gas or too much to control. After trying to adjust the flow, regulator and tank valve for a few months, in March of 2023 we tried to contact the seller to see what could be done about the product. I had tried to use the stovetop's center burner for my cast iron griddle, but it would not light, even with a lighter although we heard the gas. Once I let off the knob after trying to light it, it would just go out! In a conversation with them I first wrote: "I have the 36" five burner stovetop, which I bought in June of last year, but was installed in December. Since it was installed, I have used it maybe 10 times. There are two issues since I started using it: 1. Lighting the center burner is very difficult. I think it might be tied into the 2nd issue, but first I will explain. When I try to light the center burner, I press and turn the control knob to where it is clicking, then the flame POPs out and I allow the knob to pop back up. The flame always dies as soon as I release the pressure. I have tried it from high to low and it usually takes a number of tries to light it. The four outside burners are a lot easier to light. 2. When I have the stove lit, (I usually use the center burner for my wok) the flame it so high it is uncontrollable. Even on the lowest setting, it is on high. This causes the flame to wrap around the bottom of the pot or pan and shoot out the sides. I also his a very loud hiss, quieter when on the lowest setting, but still distinct. (Images Flame1-3) 3. This leads us to the new, BIG problem. I could not get the center burner lit today so I cooked on the bottom right big burner. It was a large cast iron skillet and the flames were licking out the sides and actually caused the far right control to catch fire and melt. Now it is disfigured and does not fit on to the post. (Images Control1 & 2) I need to know how to control the flame's power and also how to replace the knob. Thank you (I cannot send all the images so I cannot show the knobs, apparently)" We sent the images in subsequent messages and via email directly. After numerous tries, they sent me a picture of how to adjust the airflow (which we had already tried). That did not help very much at all. After that I sent the following: "Still two issues: How do we get a replacement knob for the right hand side knob which melted? Cannot get central burner to light, I turn and push and it clicks but does not light. When I turn and use a lighter, it only lights when it is clicking, but when I let go, the flame goes out but I still hear the gas. It won't stay lit by itself. Lots of problems with the stove. I'd like to discuss a remedy as this is not doing or working the way is should, from the get-go. The only reason it was not returned is because my contractors took almost a year to get the construction to the point where we could install the stove top. That was past the return window, but within the warranty period. Please respond with a viable solution." Their response about the knobs (4 days later): "Thank you for your patience. Amazon searches for "gas stove knobs" and many products appear. Each product has a size map, and you can purchase the corresponding button based on the measured size. The 2.36-inch gas stove is equipped with a flameout protection device. You can stabilize the burner of the gas stove and try to ignite it again. If you have other questions, please feel free to communicate. Wish you a happy life!" In other words they sold me a product that apparently had major issues, then proceeded to tell how to adjust the flame level (which never worked), then told me to search for "gas stove knobs" to replace the burnt knobs caused by the uncontrollable flame, then never answered my request on how to get the burners to work again, then told me to have a "Happy Life!" Terrible, DANGEROUS product, no support from the seller and now I have throw hundreds of dollars away for both the stove and installation, and have to start again, costing me many hundreds more. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - STAY AWAY I am still trying to resolve this with the seller, and if I do, finally get satisfaction, I will edit this review to address that, but these issues and my experience have been terrible so far. ... show more

  • Don’t like it

Don’t like how it lites. I have to do it a couple times before it ignited. Doesn’t clean up well. Leaves streaks on surface.

  • Valve lables
Size: 12 Inch Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop
Overall a good product. Nice flames. The electronic battery electronic ignition is a plus. The minimum flame level is more like medium, but you can get a low flame by turning the valve almost to the off position. The labels for the valve positions are hard to see. You can print these in photo if you like. ... show more

  • Does the job, bit complicated to install.
Size: 36 Inch Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop
My mother and father installed this product. The instruction manual only comes in English and not any other language. My dad did have to go to Home Depot to buy some parts to connect to the gas outlet. The manual was not very clear. At the end of the day, it does work. • Advertised BTU's not even close...
Size: 36 Inch Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop
1st we replaced the regulatory on day 1 and barely got the center burner to boil a 4 gallon corn pot. A week later all the nozzles in each burner were replaced by a technician friend who stated this a one size fits all assembly and we got stuck with the low end... Only now do all the burners reach the advertised BTU's which is half the cost right there. The gauge of metal is on the thin side but for the price it does the job and being a slightly deeper tray than most was easy to clean and kept boiled over liquid from draining into elements and running underneath. While the appearance of the unit is great, plus the Actual metal knobs, (not cheap chrome plated plastic), the lettering is lightly printed on instead of being permanently laser etched and was fading the 1st time I had to give it a deep cleaning. If they had dropped thier profit margin or raised the price $20 and used appropriate parts they'd have a 5 Star unit. No I will not by 2 more of their units for my other house. ... show more

Finally got to install stove top was so excited until I noticed how close together the burners are.. If you have a pan on front burner the back burner becomes useless, guess I have to get use to it. All and all it's a nice looking stove top. Great price for a gas top since I've had electric for passed 15 years... ... show more
