I installed two of these to replace ceiling fans in my family room after installing a heat pump that made the fans superfluous. I love them, they make my family room feel like an enchanted forest. The crystals are gorgeous much better quality than I expected to be able to afford. Assembly is a little complicated. You have to attach the branches first. Use a metric number 14 wrench. I got a ratcheting wrench and it made assembly much easier. After attaching the branches you need to connect the wires. The directions were pretty clear and the supplied wire nuts were ok. The wires from the sockets are already stripped but you will need a wire stripper for the cord side before you can twist them together inside the wire nuts. The other weird thing about install is that the bolts that attach the canopy to the crossbar on the electrical box are spaced the same distance apart as the screws that attach the crossbar to the box itself. We got a new crossbar that had a two bars crossed so both screws and bolts could be properly spaced. We also had to fiddle with the bolts using the little nuts to raise them up a little so the canopy was flush with the ceiling. A small strip of duct tape was used to keep the bolt from spinning in the crossbar as we tightened the nuts on the outside of the canopy. It took a little extra time but the results are so worth it. ... show more

I am just in love with how these lights look in my entryway. They are bright enough for the function of the entryway, but the crystal is pure sparkle genius! The oil rubbed bronze "branches" are a little rustic and whimsical to balance the elegance of the crystal "leaves." Let me first just say that the price was right for this beautiful chandelier. I'm no electrician and I assembled and installed this mostly by meself. The package was damaged when it arrived and my wife signed for it as the DHL driver quietly concealed the damage by partially blocking the package and keeping the damage to the side facing away from my wife. When I got home and saw the big gouge in the box I expected to see lots of broken pieces inside. I was however surprised to find that only two of the crystals were broken. There were replacement crystals included that I was able to install for a complete undamaged fixture. I was surprised at how well the pieces were packaged in a way that they all fit safe and snug. The directions are a joke. The video on amazon is very helpfull to figure out what to do to assemble this. I read a lot of the reviews before the purchase and expected a nightmare assembling this. I was pleased that it was not really that difficult. I would suggest getting somebody to help. I put it together alone and was wishing I had a third hand several times. And for those of you who complained about the assembly and pulled stars because it was hard....give me a break. You saw the picture before you baught it. Its not a simple light fixture. Did you think it would come on a silver platter assembled and ready to install? The wires on the light are blue and brown. The blue is neutral and the brown is hot. This is typical for wiring coming from china. The great thing was that the wire was really long which was really nice when installing it. I was able to put the chandelier on the very top of a step laddar and the wire reached the 10 foot ceiling to attach to the house wires. Then the whole length coiled up nicely into the part that attaches to the mounting plat at the junction box as I lifted the chandelier to the ceiling. Screw on a couple fenials and JENGA its installed. I gave it 4 stars because the "directions" or lack thereof suck. Its a beautiful chandelier. I love it. ... show more

I really had to take a chance on this chandelier after reading all of the negative reviews about installing the crystals, etc. I found the directions to be very concise and really easy to put together. (A QR code is included for an installation video) I did have help installing it, but I'm 71 and don't do well on ladders. I would say for the price, I didn't mind attaching a few crystal laden arms with a washer and nut, and it is just beautiful in my entryway. Waiting for the 8 light hanging version to arrive to install in my diningroom .... ... show more

I had some different lights in my closet, but these really elevated the feel and gave more light than the others. I am absolutely in love and so glad I made the purchase. A little difficult to assemble because of the awkward angles of the arms, but easy to understand the assembly.

    • Has no balance- doesn't hang straight!

Ok- so unfortunately by the time we finished painting and fixing up where we hung the chandelier my window for return ran up. This item is seriously cheaply made! The entire thing is off balance and no matter what you do it never hangs straight!! It's always on an angle! Assembly is pretty tough because the arms don't come connected and to get it right enough that they should hang straight is quite a chore! Also mine came without the ball suspended from the bottom... maybe a fluke but still..... I replaced that on my own but the entire thing literally doesn't hold well together and doesn't hang straight. I'm not angreen horn to light fixtures that just didn't know what I'm doing. I purchased 8 other fixtures for other rooms here on amazon and had no problem with any. They look beautoful. My suggestion? Don't be fooled by the picture- just move on- there are plenty other nice options to choose from..... ... show more
