Self install and works wonderfully. Recent temps at -4° f and maintained 75 no issues. If you are going to self install, Make sure to vacuum the system and adjust refrigerant pressure.

This Garvee 12,000 BTU 22 seer 115v is a wonderful unit to have. It can be up and running in 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes depending on the person installing your unit. The cost is very good and you can't even hear it running unless you have it on turbo. It cools and heats wonderful no problems so far. The remote is pretty self explanatory. It seems to be a very durable unit. I have purchased 2 of these. So far it's saving money on the electric bill. It really hasn't gotten that cold out yet but so far it's keeping me and my family warm and when it's hot outside it does a great job cooling. I would highly recommend these units. ... show more

This is not a very powerful unit. Feels extraordinarily weak for a 12000BTU unit. Heating my 500 sqft room takes a long time. I know this is not optimized for heating but it is pretty weak I have to say. Cooling seems to be similarly weak. I have not had a chance to put it through its paces on a hot summers day yet, but I imagine it will not be very cold. The app that is comes with is not very good called "AC Freedom" Not very useful and when used with Google Home it does not even allow temperature control, only on/off. Fortunately I could find a bridge application that allows me to control it from Home app which is a game changer. Otherwise this would be pretty useless unit to me. I have to say it was cheap but you get what you pay for. I may uninstall this unit and put it in my shed at some point. I am not terribly impressed with it. ... show more

    • Works Great, Efficient and Easy to Install

My first mini split. Picked it up on sale for Black Friday along with a line vacuum kit. Having researched them ahead of time I was confident in my ability to self-install. Self-installing alone took me about 3 hours. For my situation, no wall hole could be done so both lines and power feed through a window insert much like a portable air conditioner. Power goes to an indoor dedicated 20 amp outlet. System operates almost silent both indoor and out. My 12k unit uses about 1200 watts when it is below freezing (currently below 20 degrees and doing great). Power usage is considerably lower above freezing. It seems very efficient. I look forward to using it during summer to replace the need for my large window unit. Will consider adding a second one in the future. ... show more

The temp outside dropped 26 degrees the night I installed it. Once it powered up and ran for about 2 hours I was comfortable, after 4 hours of being set on 75, it got hot in my 500 sf house. I'll let you know about the A/C when summer arrives.

    • You don’t get what you pay for!

I ordered this minisplit based on several factors. Had a high SEER rating, affordability and the fact that it had WIFI/APP capabilities. We have a vacation home that we need to be able to use the thermostat settings via the APP. This was the number one thing I needed when purchasing. The unit arrived, paid to have it installed and spent a couple hours researching how to connect it to the WIFI. After searching and googling it turns out that I was sent the one that does not have that option even though I ordered and paid for these features. The instructions have a QR code to download an app though it does say not all units have this option. Mine was supposed to. I have read on Google that this has happened to other people as well. At this point the unit does nothing for us as that was the one thing we needed. We will now need to uninstall and order another that does have the WIFI. At the end of the day we are now out of pocket the unit as well as the install. ... show more

Easy installation and work as described. DIY friendly unit. If you’re familiar with using a flaring tool to cut the copper lines to fit your setup, a set of AC gauges and a vacuum pump to vacuum down the system before releasing the Freon you’re good to go.
