I was honestly impressed with this garvee slushie machine how fast it works. you literally don’t need ice or to pre chill anything. just pour your mix in and it starts doing its thing. within minutes you’ve got real slush, not some watered down blender mess. the presets make it easy. i tried the regular slush mode and the frappé one and both came out smooth and consistent. the texture control is actually useful too. you can tweak it if you want it thicker or lighter which i didn’t expect to care about but now i do. capacity is solid. made enough for everyone without having to refill constantly. and the timer feature is low key clutch if you’re planning ahead for guests. just set it and forget it. it does have rules about sugar and alcohol percentages so you can’t just throw random stuff in there, but as long as you follow that it works great. overall 5 out of 5. fun, easy to use, and makes drinks that feel like they came from a restaurant. definitely a hit for movie nights or small parties.

Pros: --The slushie machine worked great for apple cider slushies and orange juice slushies. My kids loved the apple cider slushies (all sweet) vs. the bitter tasted in the orange juice ones. We blended mangoes first to add to the OJ but it was still too bitter. The apple cider produced a true slushie... soft iced concoctions. IF you let it sit, yes, it will start to liquify. We don't drink alcohol so I can't describe that. By the way, the mangoes were blended in a Ninja blender. The slushie machine has no mechanism to blend or puree. --The dispenser works. We used a small kid's bamboo cup and the slushie poured out dead center to the cup when the lever was lifted. Move the handle down and it stops the flow of slushie. --The machine holds many cups of the apple cider--enough for 4 slushie servings. The target was 28 degrees which is displayed on the machine and slushies are to be 26 to 30 degrees. The machine beeps and stops the flashing light once it is ready to serve. The apple cider took about 18 minutes which sounds long but it wasn't. --The parts to wash come apart easily and I always rinse them immediately and air dry. I wouldn't trust the dishwasher with these parts at all. Most everything is plastic. --Parts are engineered to fit snug and tight and remove easily which was appreciated. CONS: --The manuals are a joke. Bad English. One recipe is in ml and the next in cups. --The advertised "makes ice cream" is not true. We were looking forward to this aspect. However, the manual (which always tells the truth unlike the advertisement) describes it as making "ice milk". Yuck. --This could be one machine that gets used for a couple of weeks and ends up in the garage. --The press buttons are so dim with difficult to read text over pictures that you have to guess what you're pressing. We memorized that the top one is "slushie". There is a delay before it comes on after pressing it. When the cycle is done you have to be near it to hear it. I set a second timer in the kitchen as a backup. --The directions are terrible for which parts come apart. It's trial and error and a lot of poking and pulling. --The weirdest part is the white spiral. It doesn't fit on the silver round condenser by pushing. You have to rotate it like you're screwing something even though the condenser has no threads for such action. The spiral part sort of suctions on manually on its own and creates a strong pull that is startling. I won't let my kids do it or their fingers would get pinched. --When there's about 1 1/2 cups of slushie left the motor makes a loud noise. I find myself hurrying to get the last bit out so I can turn it off and stop the noise. --The silver handles are all plastic. Because it works for slushies: 5 stars. Because the directions are insanely terrible: 0 stars. No ice cream: 0 stars Net = 3.5 stars --I question how long the machine will last.

I’ve been running this Garvee Home Slushie Machine every day for over a week now, and honestly, I’m pretty wowed. I simply mix some ingredients, put the mixture in the machine and press a button... it churns out slushies, soft‑serve ice cream, milkshakes, and a whole buffet of frozen mixed drinks that actually taste fantastic! Every pour feels just right; the texture is consistently perfect, no matter what flavor I’m whipping up. The machine comes with a neat recipe book that shows some hand-picked drinks of many different types, but the real treasure was the internet. A quick search pulls up a ton of free recipes that fit this machine like a glove. The drink recipes I found online even include sugar‑free options that still taste amazing with perfect texture. Of course I’ve experimented and tweaked a few to my own taste, which is the best part: no need to buy pre‑made mixes or special proprietary ingredients. Just a recipe that I like, the ingredients, and the machine does the rest. Cleaning was my only hiccup. The manual simply mentions it has a rinse cycle. It did not really go into detail on how to use the rinse cycle or why I should use it. After my first frozen masterpiece... I, in one of my less than brilliant moments, thought I could just hand‑wash the container (I don't need a rinse cycle!). I removed the container without rinsing. OMG, I ended up making the biggest kitchen mess I’ve seen in years. I only had to make that mistake once. :-) Lesson learned: the rinse cycle is crucial. Just fill the container to the full line with cool tap water (DON'T use hot water), press the rinse cycle, wait for it to finish, use the dispenser lever to dispense the rinse water into cups until the machine is empty. Once drained, then and only then remove the container from the machine. Once I started doing this, cleaning became a breeze and not at all messy. What keeps me coming back? The convenience of making all my favorite frozen drinks from scratch. No ice to load, no pre‑made ice cream... just mix, add it into the machine, and let the machine do its magic. My wife, our grandkids, and I have all fallen in love with it. Since it arrived, our kitchen has been buzzing with frozen fun and smiles. Bottom line? I am very happy and I’m giving it a solid 5 stars. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves a fresh, no‑fuss frozen treat.

Amazing machine. I've used this for several parties now. It can make slushies out of any drink and very quickly. They taste amazing and don't lose any quality about freezing. The machine is quieter than expected, only giving a low hum. But I can't say enough about how easy it is to clean. All of the parts come off with ease and the barrel wipes down easily. Absolutely worth the money if you entertain regularly.
