It works flawlessly, and we've tried so many different types of liquids without a single issue—it turns everything into the perfect slushy texture! The time it takes to freeze a full batch is pretty quick, which is awesome when everyone is waiting for a drink. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to getting the settings just right, but once you have it dialed in, it’s so much fun for family and friends to use when gathering together. ...and I have a bunch of them. I was a Ninja blender early adopter in 2012, got the first version of the Ninja Coffee Bar when it launched and am on my 3rd version of it now, have owned 2 versions of the Creami, FOUR different Air Fryer/Air Fryer ovens, the personal blender, the pots/pans, the knife set, the k-cup single serving coffee maker, and more that I'm sure I'm not even thinking of at the moment. I've bought the Coffee Bar and Crispis as gifts for numerous people over the years. This is my second Slushi purchase. I am absolutely a HUGE Ninja fan. The Slushi rates at the top of my absolute favorite Ninja products. It's an ingenious machine, almost too easy to operate (seriously, make it harder, I don't need all these calories), and just overall so, so fantastic. It's SO versatile- you can make slushies, alcoholic drinks, frozen fruit juices, and my absolute favorite- frozen coffee/frappucinos. Just this morning I tried making a frozen london fog for the first time- GAME CHANGER. Your mixture MUST contain a level of either sugar or alcohol in it to freeze- that's my ONLY disappointment, that I can't effectively slush a grapefruit sparkling water. The machine will shut down if it doesn't detect enough sugar/alcohol. You can change the freeze level of each beverage- I find that I like my drinks more frozen or "firmer" than the initial suggested level that pops up when you choose your beverage, so I frequently raise the chill level. The texture is phenomenal- you can do everything from lightly frozen to almost ice block. The machine is relatively easy to clean, though it MUST be cleaned immediately after each use. If you let it sit more than an hour or so, the residue will become sticky and hard to remove. At the very least the removable parts should be rinsed after if you can't get around to a full cleaning right away. It does come with a drip tray and it IS a needed accessory- the spout does drip a bit for a couple minutes after dispensing, so be aware of your countertops. I split with my ex at the end of the last year and told him he could have the Slushi- because I wanted to buy a new one :D

Let me preface by saying I am a Ninja fan and I do own multiple Ninja devices so perhaps I'm slightly biased. Also, to get the negatives out of the way first - I've noticed so far this machine has the same issues EVERY Ninja device that uses liquid has. They all leak out of the spout long after you've stopped using it. My Thirsi does it, my Pods & Grounds does it, and now this Slushi does it. It's not the end of the world but it's certainly annoying. I've only used the Slushi function so far but if the others work as well then I can assume safely. This machine is probably the best Ninja product I've bought other than my air fryer. All you have to do is open the hatch, pour your ingredients in, and let it run. Make sure to chill liquids for optimal performance. As anything you read will tell you - the liquid has to have an appropriate sugar content to freeze. That doesn't mean you can't use sugar free or diet drinks. You just have to put the right amount of sugar per 8 oz of liquid. I've made frozen cokes just like I used to drink growing up from Speedway, Thorntons etc. and they're excellent. Right now I'm drinking a frozen butterbeer (Harry Potter) recipe I made and I can easily say that it's better than what you get at Universal Studios, for way cheaper. You of course need the ingredients on hand for this machine to have any value but with the insane prices at stores like Starbucks, Wendy's, even Sonic, there's no way you won't save money with this machine. I got it on sale for $280 including tax for the FS301 (the "low end" model if you go by Ninja's chart) and I can say probably within a few weeks I will have saved that much money with summer officially starting soon. It can make smoothies, slushies, milkshakes, Margaritas, pina coladas, frozen bloody marys, Frosty's, Frappucinos, and doubtless tons more stuff. I'm hoping to try out some Pina Colada this weekend once I can get to the store for the rum. Once you select a preset, the sensor will suggest whether the temperature needs to be increased or decreased and this also indicates if there's enough sugar in the mix. The presets aren't perfect but they're a good start. The slushi has a very easy rinse feature too. For slushi's you can just pour water into the reservor and hit the Rinse setting for it to clean itself. Depending on ingredients, like if you put caramel or butterscotch or something into the mix it will require more thorough cleaning so you'll have to dump the reservoir - which the dispenser handle does easily - and then remove the spill guard and the entire reservoir. All of it is dishwasher safe, too.

I absolutely love Ninja brand products. We also have a knife set and blender in this brand. We got this slushy maker because we thought it would be fun and easy to make different kinds of slushies for ourselves and our kids. What I like most is that it is so easy to use and comes with a recipe book. I never even thought to use it for milkshakes, but it makes the best milkshakes without using ice cream. It is so yummy. The settings make it easy for different types of recipes whether it is alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. So versatile and so much fun! I would definitely recommend this ninja slushie maker.

5 Stars for Shark Ninja/ 0 Stars for Amazon Customer Service My first unit sent was randomly squeaking. Not the normal air dryer, compressor turn on or ice moving on the cooling rod and propeller. This was a rubbing/squeak that was more annoying than anything else. I gave this Machine a good break in period and was in Slushi bliss. However, after boasting about this magical machine to a good friend, she went and bought one on faith and my input. Now, once she got hers a day or two from getting mine, hers worked like a champ and no squeaking. This is when I decided to have mine returned for an advanced replacement as any other item bought from Amazon. Well after a rude agent assuring me they couldn't do the advanced replacement and tells me his decision would match they managers end resolve. Well, I wasn't happy about that so I asked his customer support id number, that he refused to give, and the manager. So in the end the agent that took my call gets a no star epic fail and the Manager that did mirror the policy saying id have to return the item first, wait for the credit then repurchase it, losing the sale price but then, all the sudden, flipped that "policy " and an act of a miracle the policy was modified and like that I was set up to receive a new machine with a product return label for UPS drop off. Why, well when I mentioned that I recorded the call and make this an story with the local news. Pretty shady Amazon just like your custom prices for certain people. So, 3 days later I now I have the new machine, Im happy as its now working as it should. Amazon gets the epic fail here but Shark Ninja...your product is amazing in style, quality, supporting documentation and packaging. Keep innovation alive!

I LOVE SLUSHIES! So, when my husband told me about the Ninja SLUSHi, I was immediately like - TAKE MY MONEY! I literally refused to go to bed without drinking a slushie from my very own SLUSHi machine and I did have one around midnight the first night it arrived! The next day, I had a slushie for breakfast, only to have the machine start beeping on me and shutting down completely even though there was still slushie in the machine. Fast forward and two video calls to Ninja customer service and I was given two different answers. The first customer service rep was very friendly and thanked me for leaving the machine just as it was when it stopped working, with the soda slushie still in it. She had me start it up again and wait for it to slush. We discussed the fact that it's supposed to keep drinks cold for (up to) 12 hours. I asked if I had to completely drink the whole 16 oz fill at once (it never says you do in the manual) and she said she didn't think so. I'd say there was probably still 10 oz in the tank when I restarted it. When it didn't stop right away, she told me to call back if it stopped again. It did about ten minutes later. I immediately called again and got on a video call with a second customer service rep. The second rep was also very friendly. He got on the video call and said that the amount of slush was below the fill line. I explained the same thing I had said to the first customer rep. He said he thought I'd have to drink the whole 16 oz drink at once. I told him that was like drinking 2-3 servings all at once when it was just me. He said maybe I could put it in the fridge and save it for later. I then told him that would make it soda (because it would thaw). We both got a laugh and he suggested that maybe I could invite a neighbor over and share. Both decent suggestions, but I was really hoping for it to actually keeping a second to third serving cold until I wanted to drink it. We kept trouble shooting and he had me pour another soda can into the machine to see if it would keep running if we restarted it. More soda kept it running, but that meant me drinking 32 oz of slushie/soda in one day by myself and that's a lot for me! The machine says not to turn it off until all of the drink has been dispensed, but it will definitely shut down and start beeping if you drop below a certain level of fill. It is not going to stay on for 12 hours. At least mine doesn't! Maybe if you keep it mostly full it will work that way, but it was a very disappointing discovery that I would need to do that to enjoy my slushies. It really makes me sad that I'm not going to be able to enjoy slushies at my leisure. The (up to) 12 hour cooling was a huge selling point for me. Maybe the Ninja SLUSHi is better for people with a lot of friends or family to enjoy frozen drinks with regularly. As an adult who is a kid at heart and really wanted a slushie machine, I have to give this four stars even though I want to give it five! The drinks are delicious! The clean up is fairly easy (if the machine stays on). But, the cooling is very heavy on the "up to" when it comes to 12 hour of remaining frozen.
