I live in a 2 story house and the master bedroom gets the afternoon direct sunlight thru the windows, which of course means the heat. Even with central air it’s still a struggle to keep that room cool. This solves that problem nicely. I’ve had the unit for a couple months now but I live up north and I couldn’t test it out till this week when the snow finally melted and we got some warm, sunny days. I couldn’t be happier with the performance. Over the winter I added blackout curtains to the bedroom to help cut down on the heat this summer, and the combination of those curtains and this unit have made my bedroom really comfortable. It’s actually pleasant in the room now. It’s super easy to install and I was able to do it myself rather quickly. All you need is to be within range of an outside window to be able to vent the exhaust air out. The unit comes with everything you need to do that. I didn’t realize when I ordered it that it also is a dehumidifier, so that was a big plus! The noise level is less than the window unit I have been using, though of course it still makes noise. Very tolerable level though, and I’ve had no issues sleeping with it on. It’s actually white noise to me as it muffles any outside noise. The size is perfect for my good sized master bedroom. I have a second bedroom upstairs right across the hall, and I haven’t even been closing the door to the master bedroom and the unit has helped cool that room somewhat as well. I also have 2 fans running whenever I’m in the bedroom and that helps to move the cool air around. The remote control is very handy so I don’t have to get out of bed if I need to make adjustments during the night. I also really appreciate that the buttons on the unit itself are on the top of the machine and not the front or the side. So much easier to use them without having to bend over just to get to them. I’m very impressed with this unit and I’m certain that this summer will be much more pleasant upstairs than last summer was. I trust this brand completely and have purchased many different products from them and would certainly purchase another of these units if I needed to add another to my home. I completely recommend this!

These portable air conditioners are so much more convenient when compared to the window units. The larger window units that can put out as much cool are as this portable one are so heavy, they can be damaging to window frames. They put so much weight on the frame being held in, that then they don't seal properly when they're closed up. So over the winter, you lose heat out them instead. These portables ones only need to have the exhaust hose in the window, which don't rick damaging the frame at all. Also, being portable you can move this from room to room as needed. It can be rolled from the living room, over to a bedroom as needed. No need to lift a large window unit and risk dropping it out the back of the window when setting it into it. This unit by Garvee has been easy to use and set up. I have this in my den and it keeps the whole area nice and cool. The compressor is about average in sound. I don't find it overly loud like my old big window unit was. That would sound like a piece of machinery kicking on. This AC is more subtle than that, so I can see sleeping in a room with it running being no trouble at all. This unit does have a built in dehumidifier tank as well. This can help a lot with the heat, since it can pull moisture out of the air and keep air in the room so much more dry. Very handy in a humid area like I'm in. I can use the humidifier even during months where it's not warm enough yet to use the cooling features. I di like that this air conditioner comes with a remote control. There are the traditional button controls on the unit itself too. But having the remote control feature is really nice. Overall it's a great unit and I'm impressed with all the features.

I set this air conditioner up in our bedroom and it’s been working great so far. I set it up in a window, using the included kit. The installation is straightforward without being overly complicated or frustrating, especially if you’ve used this type of air conditioner before. Once it’s running, the room starts cooling down fairly quickly and feels comfortable without the harsh blast some units give off. The airflow is even and steady, and doesn’t require constant adjusting. I really like having the different modes because I don’t always need cold air, but sometimes just extra air circulation. The dehumidifier setting helps a lot on humid days and makes the room feel less heavy, even when I’m not actively cooling. The fan mode is useful at night when I just want air moving without dropping the temperature too much. The display is clear and easy to read, and the remote control is responsive so I’m not getting up to make adjustments. Sleep mode is quiet. Overall, this is a good quality air conditioner that works well and has various useful options and I’m very happy with it so far.
