This item puts out very good air. I have been running it in a camper for a month and it works veey good. I like the wheels it has on the bottom. The only down side is how much hot air you have to vent. Its not a perfect fit in a camper window but it works.

This thing is AMAZING. Very easy to set up the window connector, which is what I was most worried about since we have a horizontal sliding window. Keeps our bedroom cold, and is about the same volume as running a fan.

This Garvee 8,000 BTU Portable air conditioner arrived in perfect condition with all of its parts in tact and was super easy to install; and that is the best that I can say for it. I have this unit in a very small bedroom AND keep the door closed and STILL this unit does not cool the room down any. Also, I believe the temperature gage on it is wonky. It keeps saying the room is cooler than it actually is and shuts itself off. There is no button that allows for continuous running except fan which just brings in hot air. Waste of money! I do NOT recommend this unit at all!! ... show more

It was easy to set up, only required a few minutes to connect the tubes and plug it in. Changing the temperature units was also extremely easy. It cools the room well, set mine to 20°c and the room stays around 21-22 with doors open. It does not include locking hardware for the window, so someone on the outside could still open it. I prefer using action clamps anyway with inverting the end, as to not damage the windows frame with screw holes, plus they can be easily removed if need. ... show more

Picked this up for a small 8x10 bedroom that I turned into a game room. It does the job well but sometimes it will shut off then turn right back on. It does this a couple of times. By shutting off I mean the unit will run to the desired temp, stop running, then starts going again. The only direction you have for air flow out of the unit is up or down. There's no left or right adjustment. It does produce a decent amount of water. We have it draining into a bucket currently. One thing I noticed is the unit does not come with any kind of weather stripping. In my case, the housing for the large hose did not fit on the edge of the windo sill. So I had to install it into the sill. This made it so there was a small gap on the adjustable section of the bracket thing. Some weather stripping fixed the issue but I had to purchase it second hand. I liked the idea of portability so I could use it in the garage or my shed if I wanted to but in reality, I should have gone with a cheap window unit. This thing isn't exactly light and easy to carry around. It does have wheels but moving it up and down steps could be an issue. A small window AC unit would have been better in my case. Going a window ac route would free up space and I wouldn't have to worry about a hose and bucket. Already had my son know the hose out once so I drilled a hole in the bucket around the top to keep it in place. ... show more

I live in an over century old home. All my bedrooms are upstairs. We do have central air conditioning but on those over 90 degree weather, it doesn’t do the best in our bedrooms. This is the ultimate portable air conditioning unit!! I’ve had this for over a month now and works wonderful!! Easy peasy to set up! As far as noise, it’s not bad. The “high” function is a little louder than I would like it but to work around it, I place it on high while getting ready for bed than switch to the low function when I’m in bed ready to sleep (love the remote control to be able to do this from bed). For the most part my electric bill is staying right around average for the past few years during summer, so haven’t seen much of an increase. My electric company does have “peak” and “non-peak” times and I just make sure I run it during those “non-peak” times. ... show more

This is a really AC. I highly recommend, it keeps my apartment cool and its not too big or bulky. I like how it has wheels, the only thing that was challenging was installing the vents, i was having a hard time getting it installed but once you have it. The AC works perfect
