Cool Bedroom for $160 Delivered

Garvee 8000 BTUs Portable Air Conditioners,350 Sq.Ft. Ceer 6.2,DOE 5K BTUs Lightweight at about 45 lbs, so it’s easy to carry upstairs or move around as needed. I waited about 24 hours after delivery before starting it to let everything settle. When I turned it on, my room was around 75°F (with central A/C running) and about 90°F outside, and it was blowing roughly 50°F air almost immediately. The exhaust hose is flimsier than other brands I’ve used, so I’d avoid flexing it too much. I ended up adapting my old hose that was already set up in an insulated window frame, connecting it to the included hose and sealing it with flex tape. I also wrapped the hose with insulation, which helps keep heat from radiating back into the room which is something portable A/Cs can struggle with. The included connector just slides into place and can slip out if the unit moves, so I taped that as well. I do wish it used a more standard exhaust connection. The power cord is also a bit shorter than my previous unit, so placement took some planning. I have casement windows, so I didn’t use the included vent sliders which won't work for my windows anyway, but they look adequate if only thinner than others I’ve seen. Don’t expect a portable air conditioner to be quiet. If you’re comfortable with white noise, the sound likely won’t bother you. However, if you need near-total silence to sleep, a portable A/C may not be a good fit, since all of its components including the compressor and condenser are located in the room with you. That said, this unit is no louder than any other brand I’ve used. I’m using this in a 13×13 bedroom at night so I don’t have to lower the central A/C. For $160, it’s a solid option for cooling a single room. The 8,000 BTU rating isn’t meant for large spaces, but it does the job well in a closed-off room. I have had this air conditioner for less then a month. It is preforming as I expected keeping the room nice and cool. Arrived in perfect condition. Was very easy to install. I have the sliding back and forth type windows and it was easy to adjust the plastic piece to fit the window. I have no complaints with the noise level. One of the features that I am very happy with is it has a drain hole in the middle back of the unit. I place the drain hose there and placed the hose in a bucket. So far nothing has gotten on the floor. I empty the bucket once a day. (My old one I had to put on a milk crate, as the hole was at the bottom) I do however live in a very humid climate. Something is not right with this unit

I had ordered one of these the CF14T and when it arrived it started making noise and I couldn't pin it down what it works coming from and a few days later the noise began to increase. I made a video and it's shown on my ALBERTSVOICE TECH YouTube channel but I'm providing it here so you can watch the video it will show you what the problem with this is. Highlights cooling performance Under 80% humidity it will cool once it reaches higher than that you're going to have to drain it there's two drain plugs one for the dehumidifier and one for the condensed water from the AC and the bottom it does come with some neat looking adapters and hose for that maybe one of the best I've seen so far. Value for the money well and performance now it claims 750 ft but I don't think it it can really go that far you would have to have two of them if you had a living room dining room kitchen and if you're trying to cool in my case that's what I was doing so it'll be like 1500 square feet with two of them. So much so the fluttering from the louver the noise level gets higher it gets annoying there's not much you can do even if you try to reset it the problem does not go away and it's not just the lure it's something in the fan housing as well. The controls are basic you have high low and Auto cool dry and fan there's a timer and that's about it you cannot stop the Louvre on the remote control that you get you can stop the Louvre and the remote control you can change Fahrenheit to Celsius the remote control is your basic LCD it's called liquid crystal display so especially black text on a screen. No it does not light up the remote. The unit has dual display and that's what people see the first thing you say oh wow this looks cool the deuce display that show the temperature that you sent it to not the temperature of the room it shows you the fan speed anime if you put it on automatic if you put it on dry or say DH and if you put it on fan I think it's f a n. But people buy because it looks cool the unit could be better but there's some issues our second one has a fried board so what does that do it keeps it the humidifier from dispensing condensed water and that's not good this model here it's the noise of the louver it's really bad. Obvious question you're going to want to know can this model cool yes remember it's rated at 14,000 BTU operates at 10,200 btu so calculation so it's going to be 450 square footage. Affordable no frills indoor AC
Pretty good little AC. It doesn't sound as loud as my old window unit, makes a bit of noise but haven't noticed any whine from the compressor. I was really worried when I read the previous review that was posted a couple days after I ordered it. Fortunately either I was lucky or he was unlucky. That being said I do have don't complaints. The controls are limited however, the fan only operates on two settings, low and high. There is no option to have the fan run all the time as well as having the cooling on, so it turns on and off a lot of you're not cooling the room much. The sleep mode sounds the same as the normal mode. The fan tilt is manual so there's no oscillation. All in all though the unit works well and keeps my room cold. The video I took was with the fan on low and the compressor didn't kick back on at the end, that was just the fan. Overall I am happy with it for the price, got it on sale for around 220 before taxes. I will post an update after the summer! ... show more

So far, I’m pretty impressed. I needed it for my room in this heat wave, as my other unit doesn’t reach the back of the house. This unit easily cools my room and bathroom, as well as the hallway, office and other bathroom. Shipping took a little while longer than I had hoped it would, but they still delivered it a day ahead of schedule, so no complaints there, it’s summer it was probably back ordered. I’ve seen other reviewers whining about it being loud, it’s not. It sounds like a regular larger AC. You’ll get over it. Its footprint isn’t inconvenient either, it is larger than units I’ve had in the past, but I wanted something with power, and this delivers. so far it seems to be reliable. ... show more

It does work great and blow a lot of cold air. However, I would consider it noisier than necessary and it does have a fairly constant annoying rattle sound. Will be hard for me to sleep with. Easy to set up, took about 15 minutes. The slider panel is brutal to cut though if you have small windows like me. Would not recommend overall. ... show more

Works amazing, worth the money. Beware of install.
Worth every penny. This thing works just as well as its $600+ dollar competitors. You do have to install it into your window, and due to my window having a unique size we had to cut down the install panel to fit. Once installed it’s extremely easy to use.
