I am a coffee lover, but I primarily drink a pour over. I also really enjoy espresso, but it's not something I'm trying to have every day. I have limited experience with espresso machines like this one, but did work in a office that had one. For the past few years I've been using a manual espresso machine (requires pressing a leve by hand) at home on the rare occasion that I wanted to make myself an espresso. My partner saw this machine and wanted to get it, but I was not convinced it would be good, however I figured it would be better than splurging on a significantly pricier machine if in the end I didn't like it. I was genuinely very surprised by the quality of this machine, and its ability to easily make a cup of espresso, latte with steamed milk, or even a cappucino in the comfort of my home. The quality of espresso coming out of this thing is on par with what I can get from the pricey coffee shop down the street. It takes very little time for the machine to heat up in order to pull a shot. It takes slightly longer to heat up to steam your milk, but it's still pretty quick. You cannot steam your milk and pull a shot at the same time though. Getting this machine set up is pretty easy. The instruction manual does not have the best english translation, but, overall it's pretty clear how to get up and running with the machine. The espresso machine has a very small footprint, which is very welcome. I don't have a ton of counter space, and don't plan on keeping this on my counter full time, its small size makes it easier for me to move it around. Cleaning the machine is also reasonably straight forward. The whole drip tray comes out, and can be easily disassembled and cleaned (this is not true for some of the pricier machines on the market in my experience). The foaming wand works really well. Just looking at the description and reading the manual, you may be convinced that this machine only has a foaming wand, but you can slide the foaming wand sleeve off of the steam wand, and then easily make yourself a regular latte. I do wish this machine came with a better tamper, but not enough to knock a star off, as it is completely functional. Overall I am really, really, impressed with the quality of the machine, especially given the size, and price point. It's a really good value.

The media could not be loaded. I've been putting this machine through its paces, using it daily for 3+ weeks now, making at least four double-shots per day and also to quick-heat water into a couple of mugs for hot chocolate (yes, it does that too). It's still running as well as it did the first time. This espresso machine works great for basic home use and is super-simple to operate. There is some confusion about the pressure since the product name says 15 bar but the description mentions 20 bar. I am pretty sure it is 15 bar, based on price point and performance, and there is no pressure gauge or way to adjust the pressure. There is also no grinder included on this machine, but I use an inexpensive little Amazon Basics electric coffee bean grinder that works great to get the fine grind that works best for good espresso. The portafilters can do only single shot or double shot. No triples or quads with this machine. Even with really tight tamping, I've only been able to get about a maximum of 16g coffee into the double-shot portafilter; any more and it's impossible to fit the portafilter back onto the machine. The included tamper is just a flat plastic shape on the other end of the plastic scoop handle, and does not have any weight, so tamping takes extra effort. Good tampers aren't cheap though, so I'm not deducting any stars for that issue considering the price point of this machine. Coffee quality is really excellent for a starter machine, and the steam wand produces decent milk foam, though I prefer to use a separate milk frother for less spatter and mess. Whether you use this machine for single shot or double shot espresso, you can customize the dispensing time. Single shot ("1 cup") dispensing time can be set from 10-25 seconds with a factory default of 15 seconds. Double shot ("2 cups") dispensing time can be set from 20-50 seconds with a factory default of 25 seconds. To change dispensing time, wait for the "1 cup" or "2 cups" light to stop slow-blinking, then long-press either the "1 cup" or "2 cup" button for at least 3 seconds. Instead of counting down from the default number of seconds, it will instead then start counting UP from 1 to the maximum seconds (you can stop it at any number of seconds in between by pressing the button again), and then in future it will remember the number of seconds dispensing time you set for that button. The lower default dispensing times produce very little espresso, but I get a decent cup of double-shot espresso with the maximum 50 second dispensing time. Video shows video shows start-to-finish from turning the machine on, waiting for it to warm up (slow-blinking lights), and a 50 second dispensing time (I had already changed it, so it automatically "remembered" my setting). The whole process is less than 2 minutes and 10 seconds. This espresso machine is very easy to clean, with a removable water tank and drip tray that both rinse out quickly. It is also much quieter than some other espresso machines I have tried, so you can use it without waking anyone up. Overall, this is a good choice for beginners who want a straightforward espresso machine for one or two shots at a time. It does not have a lot of extra features, and the price is higher than some other entry level models, but it is super-easy to use, reliable, and delivers great espresso with minimal fuss.
