    • Helps Me Combat Symptoms of Psoriasis While Smoothing with a Wonderful Scent
I ordered this new product by Garnier, Smoothing Conditioner Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter extracts in an attempt to combat scalp psoriasis. I have been advised that coconut oil can be a beneficial and natural way to alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis. Of course, while coconut oil (and by proxy, products containing coconut oil) may offer a shred of hope for scalp psoriasis, it should not replace the treatment plan outlined by your doctor. I have tried more expensive coconut oil products and my experience is that they tend to leave my hair too oily and waxy at the same time. For a fraction of the cost of these products, Garnier has had an equally effective result on my hair and scalp. It is also pleasantly scented. The reason behind why coconut oil may be a good alternative treatment for psoriasis is, Coconut oil is derived from cold-pressed coconut kernels. It contains lauric acid, a type of fatty acid having the ability to reduce inflammation, fungus, viruses, and harmful microbes. Again, I am not qualified to give any type of medical advice, I am just relaying my experience with coconut oil products. The most likely benefit of the oil is its ability to moisturize the scalp. Coconut oil is sometimes used as a hydration balancing agent. In fact, it is sometimes used as a conditioner to hydrate dry scalp and skin, while getting rid of excess sebum. I would recommend both the Smoothing Shampoo Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter extracts and the Smoothing Conditioner Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter extracts as an effective natural way to combat symptoms of psoriasis with an additional benefit of smooth and wonderfully scented hair. ... show more
