  • My Favorite Watch - Garmin Golf needs some work.
This Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire might already be my favorite watch ever (sorry original Casio G-Shock) after just a few weeks of wear. I replaced a Fitbit watch and haven't looked back. Pros: - FANTASTIC battery life. I have played a half dozen rounds of golf with the watch in Golf mode. I could probably play four or five rounds without recharging. I recharge while in my car and the battery level restores about 25% in a 30 minute drive from one of the vehicle USB ports. - Great looking watch with a large number of different watch face options. I rotate betwenn 3 or 4 options depending on mood and what I might be doing. Analog/chronometer look (see photo) most of the time, but different digital and data intense displays for walking or exercise. - Lots of after-market QuickFit type of replacement bands. The Garmin QuickFit system lets me change bands quicker than I can decide what color I'd like. I purchased a pack of a half dozen bands in assorted colors on Amazon in the 22mm size that fit this watch and they seem to be as durable as the original. - Appears to be very durable. This watch is refurbished but looks brand new. I don't use a screen protector and in 3 weeks or so of wear I can't seen any issues with durability of the screen or case. - This Pros list will probably grow the longer I use this watch. Meh: - Screen brightness. Without the backlight on the screen is dim. Not a problem outdoors in sunlight. I have overcome the issue by turning on the motion activation (wrist twist) and that works very nicely without any noticeable decrease in battery life. Con: - Only con is more of a Garmin problem than specific to this watch. The Garmin Golf system is less than impressive. The watch is accurate. The dimensions of my home course are accurate. Watch doesn't allow you to measure putts and the Garmin Golf app on my smart phone won't let me enter putt positions or distances rendering the statistical analysis of the app generally useless. And I'm not certain that I'm getting accurate approach numbers since the watch goes into score entry mode when I reach the green. On the plus side the golf interface is very simple and intuitive and so for getting yardages this works well; pin positions is just a few buttons and let you set the pin placement within a few yards, even without a touch screen. In fact I rather prefer no touch screen entry because that would seem to be fiddly. Overall, still 5 stars on this watch. ... show more

  • Renewed/refurbished is great!
I've always wanted this watch but could not justify the expense. Let's face it, that's alot of money new right?? My watch that I had for three years died and would have cost as much to fix it as it would have been for another brand new. Took a chance and contacted the sellers to verify that this indeed would be just as new as it would be if it were new. Was very amazed that it had zero traces of it being used. I would totally suggest to ANYONE that when buying this watch, MAKE SURE THAT IT IS SAPPHIRE GLASS!! The sapphire glass is as tough as diamonds and WILL NOT SHATTER OR SCRATCH! I am still getting used to it and can tell you that you would fall in love with it every damn day. I wish I would have got this years ago. It tracks very well, so far used it in gym, kayaking, and mountain biking. On the outdoor activities, it not only tracks you, but creates a map of where you went. Not just that but gives you elevation and really good detail. Military members will absolutely LOVE this watch. I will say that I really felt so terrible spending that kind of money, but on everything that is holy, you are gonna see where that money went and will not be let down or disappointed at all. I am one of those guys that tend to read the comments before I commit to a product. Most of the time if they are negative, I tend to keep scrolling and find something else. I did see one or two negative comments about the heart rate. Everything else this watch has to offer and someone complains about that??? So far so good, I have had zero issues. I would suggest, just to cover your butt about the unknown, is to purchase the extended 3 year warranty. You never know. It very well could be a waste of money, but will make you feel good in knowing you are protected. The watch is awesome and if you are taking the time to read this, then I am going to guarantee that you will love it too. Stop thinking about it, get that card out and buy it. Noone unfortunately pays me for my review, just a very satisfied customer. ... show more

  • Your perfect workout companion
I bought Garmin 6 refurbished when my Garmin 3 broke and could not get it repaired. I am extremely happy with the watch. Battery life is great. I travel frequently and am away for a few days. I do not have to worry that I am going to run out of batteries (those who own Apple watch you know what I am talking about). I even have it on at night as it tells you how your sleep is. Summarizing, it has everything you need to track your workout and also your health parameters. Integration with the app is easy. ... show more

  • Amazing function and value
With the series 7 now out, this 6 has become very a budget friendly alternative. the Sapphire lens has been fantastic. It simply will not scratch. The refurbished watch arrive in like new condition and had all the instructions with it. Heartrate tracking and navigation are the best I've seen on any adventure watch. If you're looking at this, you already know what the Garmin can do. The refurb option just makes it that much easier to pull the trigger. Very impressed. ... show more

  • I really love this watch.
First off I bought this refurbished Phoenix 6 Sapphire for a really great price. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised with the condition the watch was in. Im convinced it was never worn before and maybe they just lost or damaged the original box in the warehouse. This thing has changed my life. The app is amazing and its 100% better than my old fitbit. The glass is extremely strong, I dropped it face down on uneven tile and not even a scratch. The step counter is crazy precise yet I haven't tried the gps features it seems on point. I use it for tracking my daily movements and as a fitness tracker. I love it. As for why it didn't get 5 stars. Cons: -The Heart Rate Monitor doesnt work unless tight above the wristbone. -The Pulse OX doesnt seem to like my tattoos? Its hit or miss but seems to work in the less tattooed areas of my wrist? Weird. -Last being the screen is really dark and it takes some getting used to. Overall a happy purchase. ... show more
