When I was a lot younger, a pair of knee pads was the most I needed when I had to get down low to do some work, like gardening or home repairs. Thanks to the passage of years that doesn’t work anymore, The knee pads are soft enough to protect my two replaced knees, but the angle of my legs and my ankles is uncomfortable when I get so low. Moreover I can’t get up without hanging onto something. The kneeling platform on this device is comfortable for my knees. The slight elevation of the platform relieves the ankle discomfort, The side rails that double as seat legs when inverted give me something to hang onto when I stand up. My only complaint is the weight, I can still handle that. On the other hand when that becomes a problem, I probably shouldn’t be getting down on my knees.

This is a very sturdy well built foldable stool/step/kneeler for the house, garden and many other places. Very versatile. I put some small square pads on the legs at the corners to make sure it doesn’t scratch anything (you’ll need 8). Works like a charm

Update: I am still REALLY loving this and cannot say enough about this item. This has gotten so much usage (and dirt), but the pad is holding up VERY well! I have a huge garden with a ton of weeds and veggies that need planting! I used to use old boxes from Amazon and kneel on those. Works OK until you get older and have a hard time getting up. When you get this, there are no instructions. Simply put R into Right side and L into L side and then you push on the legs to get it to stand. Flip it one way, it is a seat. Flip is another way, it is a kneeling pad. BEST yet, you have arms to help you get off the ground! PERFECT!!!!!! The kneeling pad is a little thin and I think will wear out over time. If that does happen, I will need to replace the pad with something thicker. To fold it, since there are no instructions, you push in the long, thin bars and then the legs will fold. Pros 1) Easy to assemble 2) Works as a seat AND a kneeling pad 3) You have arms to help you get off the ground - BEST feature yet! 4) Easy to fold up and hang on the wall. What could use some improvement? A thicker pad would be nice...... I cannot say enough words on how pleased I am with this! Just to add, even in mulch this thing works awesome - best item I have ever purchased for gardening. Using it EVERY day now!

I like this garden kneeler. I was looking for one that was sturdy and would accommodate my weight. You can use it to sit on or kneel, and I have used it to stand on for something out of reach as well. The cushion is like a dense foam and is comfortable during use.

This folding garden bench is well-made and feels sturdy whether you're sitting or kneeling. The height is perfect for tending to raised beds, and it offers a more ergonomic kneeling position compared to being directly on the ground. That said, it is a bit on the heavy side. While this won’t be an issue for most, it could be difficult for those with back problems or limited strength to carry and maneuver around the garden. Additionally, there’s no locking mechanism to keep the legs in place when folded, which can lead to painful bumps if you’re not cautious. The padding is quite firm, likely more durable over time, but not the most comfortable for extended use. Overall, it’s a solid bench with good construction, but the weight and lack of folding safety features make it less ideal for those needing something more lightweight and user-friendly.
