Did alot of research b4 buying this and the product side not disappoint. It's made from steel and the shaft from top 2 bottom is completely solid. I dont recommend using this on your cordless drill though , it's to heavy. I have a corded ryobi drill and and with the drill adapter it gets the job done. I have very rocky and clay soil and it's no problem. Just go slow and let the tool do its job. ... show more

I love using garden auger spiral drill bits! They make planting so much easier and faster. I used to have to dig holes with a shovel, which was back-breaking work. But now, I can just attach the auger bit to my drill and I'm good to go.
