I put the cover on my Honda Accord 2004 and fits perfectly. I apply the night of when weather will cause frost or hail on my windshield and mirrors in the morning. I leave the house early before the sun comes up and is easy to remove. Nice not having to wait to defrost my windshield if I am in a rush. Not sure that the plastic inserts would make a difference but I have them in just cause. Mirrors are important too because they don’t get a direct heat source like my windshield does. I am not sure about the summer. I did apply my cover during the summer. Can’t really say it made a difference? My car gets hot either way. ... show more

I have a compact car but I can see it fitting larger cars too. I live in a Windy area and it stays in place overnight, also I always get frost and this did it's job. The only complaint is that the mirror covers are pretty big but it's probably to accommodate larger modern vehicles
