Instead of following instructions provided with product, I referred to YouTubers installation recommendations, regarding where to apply the tape. Sticking the velcro/adhesive will be protected from the elements if you install it on the inside (not inside the garage), ledge, rather than the outside, HOWEVER, installing it on the outside ledge means the magnets will be too close to the garage door and stick to the the automatic door when it is raised pulling the adhesive from the top. It also culminates in the screen having an extra inch or so on the sides, leads to you manually having to close the magnets to ensure the proper alignment when it is closed, leads to the screen not being taught as it hangs (very slightly; not a deal breaker) loosely across the garage door. Also, the screen touches the ground -which it is not supposed to do....but I honestly preferred that it did, it prevented a host of light seeking bugs this summer from sneaking underneath the screen and gaining access to the inside of the garage. Frogs, spiders, mililpedes, beetles, all wanted in, but the low screen blocked all those visitors (I witnessed that), and of of course this blocks flying critters. Before I found a resolution to the problem of not installing it correctly, but still valuing the low bug consequence (I had a hard heavy ceramic figure (about a foot tall and 9 inches wide) that pulls the bottom center out, away from the garage door. so the screen does not bond to the rising garage door, and pull the adhesive from the top). So, once i added up the consequences of installing it improperly, initially, my goal was to rehang it correctly. The company did not seem to be responsive to my request when I emailed. They were responsive after I complained in a review about their lack of responsiveness. Flyers in the box repeatedly indicate additional velcro is available for free, no problem. I finally did receive the velcro in the mail, no problem. But I am on the fence if I want to rehang it based on the benefits of keeping it hung low. I have until next spring when it begins getting really buggy again, to decide. I live in coastal NC. Overall...this screen has been a game changer. It has been durable, through a hurricane, a tropical storm, and with my installation issues. when the velcro detached at the top, I found that by getting a broom, and reattach it, and there was no issue. Initially it was more an issue of the velcro pulling and separating than an adhesive issue, but over time a few areas pulled the adhesive. But the adhesive has been truly forgiving, and when I press the product up against the adhesive it accepts it and all is perfect again. This product has beem 100 percent worth it to me, so I am happy to update my review that complained about the initial non responsiveness of the company when requesting the additional velcro.

I had a hommitt one for a few years that was great but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be made anymore. This one has a couple nice features that my old one didn't have like the velcro clasps to help hold it together when windy and slightly better magnets. The material does not feel as good but still seems decent though. I am not a fan of the clips on the top for when you want to roll it up. They make it look pretty tacky. But my biggest complaint is the sizing as it is larger than it should be. I did the measurements but it still is slightly too big for my door. I made it work though by changing mounting points and had to raise the center slightly to get it to close properly. As for the complaints of the velcro holding, this is somewhat common. First thing to do is to make sure you clean thoroughly all the mounting areas then go over it with some alcohol before applying. They include a great tool to help seat the velcro too which was a very nice surprise. Mine held up fine without any release. But for long term use I suggest stapling it up. This is especially important for the top areas and corners. I let the screen stretch out for a few weeks to make sure everything was fitting/functioning and made any adjustments needed. After that I stapled the base velcro in sections and then stapled through both for the top and top sides. Then used the racks for the sides and bottom corners. It's been up for months now with no issues and we have had tons of heavy heavy rain and wind constantly.

I use this to enclose my outside back porch I measured the area and for my needs I had to purchase four of these screens. Since I was hanging them outside I stapled the velcro to the wooden ceiling first. I love that they keep at all of the bugs but yet let a gentle breeze through. It was very windy last night and they held up fine. I'm so happy that I can enjoy my porch now. This was a very easy DIY and inexpensive project yet it looks so great.

Melts away in the hot sun if the weather is too hot. Otherwise it is decent and keeps out insects and bugs. The bugs do hide under the tape though, so watch out.

Good material. Keeps out bugs and rodents from running into my garage!!! Haven’t seen mice in garage since. Magnets work well at keeping door closed. So far so good. Also looks ok. Not horrible to look at. Gives a sense of protection when just hanging out in the garage with door open. Glad I bought it. Heavy material as stated in review. No rips yet at all.

I’m giving this product a 4 star rating even with some flaws that would be dealbreakers for some people. I got this screen for our duplex garage for cookouts and just to make the garage a more usable space. The install was easy as pie and the magnets work great! The only issues that I had with with it is after a half day of use with a toddler around, the weights on the bottom had already ripped and began falling out. Not a huge issue for me as I felt like the screen closed easier without them actually. Second, when rolled up, the straps could be adjustable as they don’t allow you to roll up the screen very high and I’m always grazing my head on it when it’s rolled up. Again, not a deal breaker for me, but could be for some!
