This is a top quality product as far as materials go. The mesh seems super durable; significantly moreso than other mesh screens I've encountered for doorways. It is also highly effective as a screen. We live in a tropical climate where there are A LOT of bugs. We also have free range chickens and ducks who love to make their way into the garage to look for food and leave a mess behind. This screen prevents critters of all sorts from coming inside. My husband is absolutely overjoyed he doesn't have to hose down the floor every day or keep the door closed all the time. He is free to work in the garage with the door open, enjoying a fresh breeze, and not be bothered by bugs or birds. The screen was fairly difficult to install correctly. It's a lot of material and obviously won't work well if it's not put up flush to the garage door opening. It's fairly cumbersome and took two of us to do it. The velcro and tacks provided do not provide sufficient adhesion in my opinion. They are fine at first but there really needs to be added support if the screen is to stay up permanently. For the price I think anyone should expect this to stay up for quite a while. We reinforced the velcro with staples after a few days when we realized it would certainly make the screen more reliable over time.

This screen is awesome for my garage. It was pretty easy to put up (mostly by myself), although it's helpful to have two people. Getting it centered and hung so it is a tiny bit higher in the center take a bit, but once it is stuck up around the garage, followed by the push pins, this thing is great. The magnets keep it closed to keep the bugs out and I can still go through it when ever I want. When not in use, I can just roll up the screens (each side separately), and they have clips to hold it up. It is also simple to un-Velcro the screen from the edge, leaving the edge piece for the next time I want it up. The screen material is strong and it has stood up to the weather for a few weeks now, and it still looks new. All of the stitching is holding up nicely and the clips have held without fail. I am very happy wit this screen.

Before you order Verify where EXACTLY you intend to stick the velcro and make sure you aren't outside the measurements given for your net. It does not stretch and you will not be able to install it if you are outside that specified measurement If you are mounting to an inside frame, the top left and right corners will need to be folded a specific way in order to mount decently I meticulously cleaned the surface and rolled the velco strips with a hand roller to get maximum adhesion. The first time I went to roll it up, the velcro was coming right off. The pnly thing that kept it from falling was the thumtacks I installed onto the top strip. (Tip) Use stainless steel staples on those strips instead of the I and you will not have this issue. This has worked much better for me Impossible to rollup up neatly with 1 person. You can use hand clamps and roll up each side back and forth to get a decent result. If you have a steel garage, if the net is mounted too close to it, the wind will blow it into the closed garage and the magnets will attract onto your garage. If that happens and you open the garage with the net down, it will rollup witb the garage. Dont expect privacy with this net. Day or night everything is visible looking in or out Not enough straps in the center of the 16 foot version. The magnets are heavy once added up and it sags in the center The straps aren't adjustable. When rolled up, it doesn't hug nice and tight to the inside of the garage. It has a gap and hangs lower than you might expect If you work any type of metal work with fragments, you will be cleaning the magnets often (Another tip) Before fastening your velcro, tack up the net to the garage and check that it fits first of all but also that you dont have any slack. If you have any slack, measure the slack and pre cut your upper velcro strip the width of your net plus the additional slack added in. Install it with a slight curve to take up the slack. If these things arent issues for you and you have moderate measurement skills and patience, you can get a decent result. If you are inpatient, this might not be for you. Hope this helps

If you're in need of a screen door for your garage's car door, a hanging screen like this one appears to be the only viable choice, and it has proven to be a satisfactory option for me. To enhance the adhesive strength of the Velcro backing, I opted to use a few staples from a staple gun, forgoing the included tacks. The magnetic closure functions smoothly, effortlessly sealing itself shut when someone passes through. I initially had some concerns about persistent wrinkles in the screen due to it being folded during shipping, but they were barely noticeable and soon smoothed out. The fiberglass mesh appears to be of sturdy quality, suggesting it should have a long-lasting lifespan.

Like another review stated, when you install this, start at the center with the flap closed - which will allow smooth installation and function. Though it came with sticky tape, which we used to initially install and set it up, we reinforced with staples. Using this allows us to leave the garage door open and allow air to circulate throughout the entire house - making like a wind tunnel! It really helps! Of course, it also keeps bugs out as well! Easy to roll open to allow car in and out. Husband loves it for when he is wood working in the garage as well. Neighbors have already asked where we got this from.
