I did not realize that the remote comes with the battery and I had a hard time trying to open it and there is nothing in the instructions about installing or replacing the battery, so I'm leaving some pictures for customers who need to do it. Basically, you need to use the metal clip to gently pry the tabs on the sides, which takes a bit of force. The inside loooks different from the OEM version, but it works fine. Tooks a couple of seconds to pair with the garage opener (press the purple garage opener button, press the remote button, done), and it works fine, although, after a few days I noticed that I need to be really close to the garage door to get the garage opener to respond. I'm wondering if this is because the battery was not the best, but otherwise it works fine (so far). I only programmed one button, but I see no reason for it to not work for all three buttons (in case you wonder, you can program each button for a different grage door if all of them are compatable). I avoided buying these things for way too long, because I just assumed they wouldn't work properly, and the expensive OEM ones were the only way to get a proper replacement. My fiancee finally just told me to order and if they didn't work I could return them, and sure enough they work perfectly, and took practically no time at all to set up. I'm annoyed at myself for waiting so long, but I'm extremely pleased with these units. I haven't had to replace the batteries yet either, which was one of my concerns, so apparently they're quite good in terms of battery life too. No notes from me - these saved my aging Craftsman garage door opener from Sears (remember that store?) from needing to be replaced. Strongly recommended. ... show more

Shipping was lightening fast! The remotes were easy to program with the garage opener. It worked right away. Great product. The only problem that I had, is that it only opens my garage door. It doesn’t close it. But I don’t think it’s the product’s fault. I have a very old garage opener.

i have an opener with the purple button. ordered the purple units. wouldn't program. ordered 2 of the red units. wouldn't program. both units (purple and red) would make the opener's lights blink but wouldn't operate the opener. cleared all codes on opener. made sure that my old unit didn't operate the opener. put opener into learn mode and relearned the old unit. it worked. back into learn mode and it learned a purple unit. back into learn mode and it learned a red unit too. then attempted the second purple unit which it didn't learn. attempted the second red unit which it did learn. i switched the insides of a purple and red unit and will now return both red units. inconvenient but i have 2 functioning units now. one plus is that the transmitter on the new units seems more powerful. fresh battery in the old unit too so it's not that. ... show more

Easy setup for the most part. One worked on the first try of setup and the other took a couple tries but both work as they should. Good value as opposed to name brand. Delivery was quick.

    • One remote constantly un-learns opener frequency

These feel like great quality and both connect to my garage door opener very easily. HOWEVER, one of the remotes will disconnect from/un-learn the frequency for my opener about once a week. This is really annoying as I have to get out of my car and use the garage's pin pad to get inside. The remote will then have no problem whatsoever re-learning the garage door's code. Didn't have this problem with the original remotes (I've kept them as backups and they all still operate the door perfectly fine) so I have to assume it's just an issue with one of the new remotes. ... show more

Bought these as replacement remotes for my 20 year old garage door opener. It took me a while to figure out that the Learn button was hidden behind the light bulb. Once I figured that out, it took 3 seconds to work!
