This is a high quality material product that requires patience and perseverance to install as any other garage door gasket does. I had a slight issue and customer service helped me out immediately. I installed the gasket by myself after removing the rail, but would strongly recommend having two people do the job with one person on the end helping to push as the other person pulls. In the picture, I show zip ties around the gasket that help make the circular form needed to slide it in to the rails. The key is using a spray bottle of water and dish detergent to lube the entire rail. The whole rail needs to be liberally wet with the solution as you pull it through and you need to keep spraying at the end as it slides in. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull 3-6 inches at a time. The rubber is thick and tough and the needle nose didn't damage it at all. Make sure you put the plugs on each end of the "tube" to keep water from getting in the tube when it rains.

This review is for (Garage Door Bottom Seals Weatherproof Weatherstrip Threshold Buffering Sealing EPDM Rubber) I purchased this on Jun 9, 2024 I like to buy things that I believe will last and this product says it is made out of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Rubber. The installation is easy as long as you don’t rush it or get impatient. Take your time and use a silicone spray lubricant of your choice that is design for rubber. I had two garage doors to do this year and I bought one bottom seal to see if I liked it. I then bought a second bottom seal to do the second door. When I put a concrete floor in the third bay next year, I will be buying this product again to do that door. I decided on this BOWSEN brand manly because of the type of material it is made out of. The double wall construction is a plus too.

This was something I thought would be a pain to install. It was super easy so get on. There was enough extra slack to get the proper fit. Easy to cut and the inner tube creates a great watertight seal. Don't have to worry about critters crawling in now.

The OEM seal for my garage had 1/4 inch T tracks, so I ordered the 1/4 inch version of this product. Before attempting installation, I cleaned the tracks and during installation continuously lubricated them with soapy water from a spray bottle. This seal barely fit in my T tracks. I could feed only about 1/2 an inch into the track at a time. It took hours to feed 9 feet of seal 1/2 inch at a time. As more and more of the seal entered the track, friction increased and the effort to slide the seal in also increased. The soapy water helped but not much. When I attempted to simply pull the seal through the tracks, the seal tended to feed incorrectly and jump out of the track. It took hours of hard work to install. The bad news, I have a second garage door. This seal differed from the OEM seal in that the Ts of the OEM seal were made with a radius, whereas this seal had square Ts, meaning both were 1/4 inch wide but the OEM Ts had less bulk and more wiggle room, allowing them to slide on far more easily. Given all the positive reviews, it seems likely that my T tracks were made slightly smaller than others. So, for most buyers, these will likely be easy to install. However, there is a chance that installation could be challenging. If you are faced with a tight fit, I suggest seeking assistance, because having one person feed the seal and one or more persons pull the seal might substantially speed up the process. Or, just find an OEM product. If you are installing by yourself, it helps to tie something around the seal a few inches before it enters the track to bend it into a curved configuration, as this will help it feed correctly. Otherwise, the seal seems robust. Good luck!

Material seems to be durable enough to last a while yet flexible to create a seal to the floor. If your garage door and/or floor is uneven, it may take a few days for the weight of the door to compress the seal evenly. Unless gap is too wide.

It was perfect fit! Got 2 for 2 garage doors. Ask someone to help you, it is a MUST. We followed exactly the instructions. Spray the tracks with soapy water and wala! Slides right away 95% of the time. One person feed the start point and one person pulling towards the other end of the tracks. Then trim the excess and install the included round plugs. Thank you Seller and Amazon! We are very satisfied. Highly recommend these weather strips.

I had never swapped out a garage door bottom seal before purchasing this one, but my garage was getting some water in it, and the seal was worn out. Make sure you measure the width of the channels in the bottom, and pick the correct size. After taking off the old one, I realized that it didn't retain its shape and keep water out because it didn't have the rubber tube attached like this new one did. It gives the seal more rigidity and sturdiness. I installed it myself, but it would have been a lot quicker with a second person to help feed the seal in one end, while the other could walk under it and tug it towards the opposite side. Soapy water helps the rubber slide through the grooves. Apply a good amount of the soapy water helps avoid the rubber from sticking and getting pulled out of the tracks. (I learned that mistake during the first half hour!) The ends are easy the cut to size once it's installed, and comes with end caps that keep debris out of the channel. Great product, I will eventually replace the one on my other door with the same one.
