Bought this to replace my trusty PD1560 - which still works like a champ, for what it's worth; I just felt it was time to treat myself to something a little bigger, and I couldn't be more pleased with the 2200. I was initially worried that it might be TOO big - but that's not the case at all. I would say it's actually the perfect size - big enough to have lots of room to work comfortably and to be easy on the eyes and wrists, but not so big that you're wasting space on the screen or taking up too much precious real estate on your desk. The stand has a nifty feature where it can sort of fold down and let the monitor sit directly on the desk, which I didn't really understand at first, but turns out it provides more options for positioning and lets you get it exactly where you want it. The screen is very nice. It's only 1080/full HD, which also worried me a bit as I'm so used to 4K on my other monitors, but actually the display looks pretty darn crisp and the resolution hasn't bothered me at all. (Don't get me wrong, when Gaomon comes out with a higher resolution pen display in the future, I'll be the first to buy it - but until then, this is absolutely fine and I have no complaints!) (...Oh, and for the other weirdos like me who prefer to draw on glass rather than a textured surface - this display comes with a matte textured screen protector pre-attached, but it can be easily removed to reveal the smooth glass underneath. There's nothing wrong with the screen protector, of course; it's actually a very high quality one and it's hard to tell that it's not part of the display itself at first glance...but it does blur the display somewhat, as all matte surfaces do. Removing the screen protector makes a HUGE difference in the crispness of the display, and I personally happen to prefer better clarity over a textured drawing surface. I've also been drawing on it daily for a week or two and have yet to notice a single scratch on it despite not having a screen protector.) The drawing experience is excellent - the pen is nice and sensitive, which is great for people like me who draw with a light hand. Parallax is virtually non-existent when you find the correct viewing angle. The pen feels nice to hold, with a silicone grip and two easy to use buttons; although it is extremely light, which makes it feel a little bit cheap (but probably helps with fatigue in the long run). LOVE the fact that it doesn't need to be charged. As for the hotkeys...well, they work exactly how they should. No problems there. But I don't use them. For one reason, because they're at the top of this (large) display and I have short arms, so constantly reaching up to find a button is a little tiring. The other reason is the buttons themselves. They're not illuminated, which they really, really REALLY should be since they're not raised or textured at all and are impossible to find without looking. (And man, you have to look hard, because they pretty much disappear completely into the glass even in bright lighting conditions.) Basically, the flush buttons make for a very clean and minimalistic appearance to the screen, but it severely diminishes their actual usability. The last thing I'll mention is the cord setup. I am SO HAPPY that this particular display comes with three long INDIVIDUAL cords instead of the stupid 3-in-one cord that so many of these drawing tablets feature anymore. Maybe this only applies to me, but my (rather large) laptop has the USB and HDMI ports on opposite sides, and the 3-in-one cord is never long enough to reach both. With these individual cords I have no problems and I can arrange my laptop and the pen display exactly how I want them in my workspace. I sincerely hope that in the future Gaomon and other manufacturers consider the fact that the 3-in-one solution does *not* work for everyone. To sum up, the PD2200 is another awesome offering from Gaomon, a great value for the money and I would absolutely recommend it 100%.

I have had this tablet for about a year now and I can confidently say this is an amazing tablet! It a wonderful start out if you’re looking for a larger screen but don’t want to drop $1-2k on the higher name brands. I’ll give a couple pros and cons about the tablet and hopefully it’ll help those who are deciding if they want to get one! Pros! *Large screen! - I’ve have used the 12.9 iPad Pro for almost 6-7 years, but always wanted something larger. This screen suits my needs so well! I don’t like to use shortcuts so I’m able to adjust my program to accommodate my tools and windows. *Sensitivity - I was worried with it being a lower cost tablet that there would be some sensitivity issues…nope!! It’s perfect! The pressure can be adjusted to your desire as well, but I pretty much left it how it came out of the box! The is no lag, but I will say it depends on your computer. I noticed I got a bit of a lag on my iMAC, but that’s because it’s old and I had to unselect screen recording to have it optimized better. But I had no issues when I used it in my Windows gaming Laptop. Just keep in mind on your processor. That my only concern on that part. *Price- Is there more to be said?! It’s at an amazing price for someone wanting to start out on a larger screen but not sure if they want to go and drop over $1K on the name brand tablets. I will say I have use a Wacom Cintiq Pro 27 during a convention to try it out, and while obviously there are some differences in quality and performance, the Gaomon PD2200 performs insanely well for its price. *Accessories - tablet is build with its own stand and already installed so no assembly required or having to purchase a stand separately! You get the display pen along with additional tips and a holder for your pen! As I’ve mentioned I have had the tablet for nearly a year and have yet to change the tip yet. But I will say I don’t use it very often as life is busy, but I will put a guess if you use the tablet everyday you may just need to change the tip out every 3-4 months depending how much pressure you use. Now to the Cons: I don’t have many but the couple I would put out would obviously be involved on how it’s priced. You get an amazing and large sized tablet for the fraction of the name brands, but it’ll come with its downsides. First would be the buttons- the buttons to turn the tablet on/off are not synced properly so I have to maneuver around to have to turn off the tablet when I’m done. It gets annoying especially when it takes more than a minute to figure out the right spot to press. The short cuts being on the top right our a bit annoying. I wish they were at the bottom but like I mentioned earlier the screen is large enough that you an adjust your tools to your liking that suits your needs or you can just use keyboard shortcuts. This is also something to keep in mind if you’re a left hand drawer. It’ll be more difficult to select the shortcut keys. Display Match - Trying to display match was a nightmare. It took a lot of time and effort to get it remotely similar. I would suggest going to your computer graphics settings and set it that way. Trying to adjust it from the tablet itself is difficult and when the buttons not being syncs properly, it makes it even more frustrating when trying to adjust the display settings. I have used this both on Windows and Mac, and Windows took a little more time but iMac has preset settings to match with it, and it made it a little easier but it’s not perfect. So just something to keep in mind when drawing. Your colors will be off so always reference from a screen you’re used to and the tablet for best results! That’s all I really have. It’s still an amazing tablet if you’re starting out on wanting a larger screen! I love this tablet despite its quirks and really happy with my purchase!!

Okay so, ive ALWAYS wanted a large screen drawing tablet and ive searched for YEARS to find the perfect one and fellas!!! I think this is as close as it gets!!! This tablet is perfect in every way (like, literally, actually perfect) and I love it SO MUCH. It has a matte screen that feels Oooooooo nice to draw and rest my hand on, the work area is MASSIVE and my wrist gets a huge break (I upgraded from the 12in iPad pro screen to THIS 22IN BABY so my joints are saved) and the hook-ups are spectacularly simple. The pressure sensitivity is so amazingly varied that no matter what sort of drawing pressure you prefer, gaomon has that covered!! Mine is a middle ground, but I could even make slight adjustments so that i barely had to touch the screen to make marks!! Fantastic. Now, story time: I did receive a defective model. Just a few hours after having it hooked up, a giant line appeared across my screen and wouldn't go away! It wasnt dead pixels, because the tablet still worked perfectly, but it was visually annoying. I contacted Gaomon support and they were so wonderful and responded in less than an hour!! At night on a WEEKEND. So they're very responsive. I showed pictures of the defect and they immediately replaced it for me at no extra charge!!! TLDR; I now have the tablet of my DREAMS and i can't possibly recommend them any harder!!! Customer support was a dream to work with and this thing is AMAZING for the price you pay. 3 year update (12/9/2023): This Tablet is still amazing! I've used it tirelessly this entire time and it still works as if i bought it yesterday! It's incredibly durable and an invaluable tool in my work. There have been 0 issues the entire time I've had it and I couldn't be more grateful! I will always recommend this tablet to everyone I can, simply because of how well mine has faired, despite the passage of time and DEFINITE wear and tear I've put it through!

The GAOMON PD2200 has been awesome to draw with. I wasn't sure about this device at first when I was shopping around amazon for a screen based drawing tablet, but many of the features seemed really good as well as the size for the price. After using the device I have to say it is great (likely the best tablet for the money). In addition the service and support of GAOMON has been exceptional. My first device had a back-light defect and they got me a new one in a matter of days. Pros + Textured screen gives the devices a paper like feel and extra control when drawing small details + The laminated screen means there is almost no parallax (Distance from the surface to the screen) so it doesn't have any lag when drawing. + The windows drivers work great for Windows 10 and have tons of customization. + Tablet supports windows ink, and when enabled the tablet turns your computer into a pc tablet for apps like Whiteboard and OneNote Cons - Pen tips do wear out faster because of the texture (but 8 extra pen tips come with the device) - I would have like to see alternate pen tip types, such as felt Overall This is a great device with many of the features you would expect from the much more pricey Wacom offering of the same size. I also was super impressed by the support team at GAOMON. After contacting them via their Amazon page I was talking to a person (not an automated person) and was able to resolve the issue quickly. As I was uncertain about GAOMON because I had never used them before, after my experience with the support team and the device, I can say that I have zero doubt that they are a brand I will buy again in the future.

I've been a Gaomon Customer for years, and I've bought a multitude of their tablets from their PD1560, to their PD1161 and I've been satisfied with all of them. I bought this tablet because it had the size of the 1560 [but bigger] and the nice laminated screen that the 1161 had. I've loved these tablets and wanted to try something a big larger. Was a little cautious about the touch buttons, but I'll get to that later. The Screen itself is good quality and a great size compared to the overall tablet. The PD1560 had some issues displaying certain colours like purple, but this one doesn't have that problem as far as I'm aware. However, there is some pretty noticeable ghosting in the tablet screen. If you don't know what that is, its when you're moving images around on the screen, some red afterimage markings pop up and sometimes that can be a little strange or disorientating. The PD1560 also had some noticeable screen stick which this tablet does not have because it is laminated. My hands glide across it smooth without needing the included glove. The screen being laminated however causes your pen nibs to degrade faster, but this is hardly an issue with how many they give you to start out or how cheap replacements are. The adjustable stands are nice and responsive, though I'm a little confused as to why there are two of them. Having the extra adjustable stand is great don't get me wrong, but it does make it hard to connect the wires to the actual tablet. Normally, Gaomon tablets plug into the side of the tablet screen, while this one plugs in the side of the box that connects to the stand behind the screen. If you're like me and don't really adjust your stand after you find that perfect sweet spot, then this shouldn't create any issues. My only main issue with this tablet are the buttons. The 5 touch buttons to the right side of the tablet that control the menu and brightness functions are fine since they have a safety lock so you don't accidentally hit the buttons while drawing. The 8 programmable touch buttons on the left however are where my only negative thoughts for this tablet come from. They are quite small and it is VERY easy to accidentally slide your finger onto a button that you didn't intend to use, especially if you have large thumbs. It can also be a little uncomfortable to have these buttons on the top of such a larger screen as well. Personally, the placement of the button's functions are strange too. Having the bottom button default to the eraser is weird when the eraser tool has usually been defaulted to one of the buttons on the pen with other Gaomon products. The buttons have predetermined icons on them that you sadly cannot change as well so button customization is a little hard for this tablet. If Gaomon continues to make tablets, I would be happy if they kept to physical toggle buttons, instead of the touch buttons. The only other tablet I think that has touch buttons is the PD1610, so I hope they continue making ones with the toggle buttons. This might be a personal experience, and might not have anything that has to do with the product or it's performance but I thought it was worth mentioning just in case. A lot of the time these touch buttons don't even work or randomly work when I'm not touching them. I've had my tablet just 'undo' several times without any input from me or my pen. Sometimes the buttons won't function at all when pressing them multiple times in a row. I have tried multiple drawing software. Another issue is my CTRL key keeps getting stuck even when I'm not pressing it or not even having a keyboard plugged in. This only happened when I started drawing with Gaomon products, but I cannot confirm if they were the root cause of this. Just something to keep in mind. I recommend buying a standalone keypad, keydial, or remote of some kind to handle shortcuts if your tablet/computer happens to behave like this. Overall, great experience and great feel. Just the design is a little... 'off'

UPDATE: 06/06/20021 Look , I hope this influences someone in a positive way on the quality of this tablet monitor for just a little over 400. !!!! For this price believe me save you 650. to 1200. on spending it on a WACOM . The biggest difference is the PEN . I got over that very very quickly . The drawings you see accompanying my review were done by me but not done on this monitor but to say " I'm no NOVICE . " That aside I could'nt endorse this thing enough . I really hope this helps . UPDATE: 03/14/2021 So , so far very excellent. I'm using Clip studio and Sketchbook on my computer ( not Photoshop , don't see the need ) after I've adjusted the settings within each program for the pen it works beautifully. I'm still in the process of tweeking the color and contrast on it , actually I've done nothing about that so far , I'm just having fun drawing. Just in case anyone one is wondering , I am used to drawing on an ipad Pro and that is my comparison as opposed to a cintiq. I've never used one so I won't be able to answer any questions as far as one vs the other. UPDATE : 03/01/2021 So basically my problem was no display but the pen would move the cursor on my principal monitor and the message I would get was "NO SIGNAL " After a some research I found the solution was replacing the HDMI cable ( the cable that came with the table monitor ) I did so and VOILA !! problem solved and beautiful table monitor in operation . It was disappointing to get a crappy HDMI cable but so far at the price , it was a small price to pay for a working tablet monitor. I will update again to review on how it works and feels but so far I'm in love . It came DOA . The problem overall, I suspect ,is a driver issue. All the cables are new , I switched them out, everything is recognized except I can't see anything on the monitor.it looks great ,feels great but beyond that I nothing else to say because I can't use ! Lol 😂 I'm going to keep trying to solve the problem but until then I feel like im playing with a brick.🧱

Pretty good product for the price. Been using it for 2 weeks and it works perfect. The only thing i dislike about the product is that the keys on the side dont light up, which makes it very dificult to see which of the keys im clicking. Other then that this product is perfect for its price. Things to know: - Make sure your GPU has 2 hdmi ports. (Which was not the case for me, so i had to get a hdmi to dp cable). You only have to worry about this if you are going to use dual screen.(if you not using dual screen forget what i said). - when opening the box you are going to see that the screen is probably scratched, but dont worry about that its a film thats over the screen itself. (I had a talk with gaomon over the mail, and they also said that allot of people freak out over this scratched screen protector. So thats just a heads up. - also under the protective film that you remove when opening the box, there is also another screen protector (this one is even more solid), and this one will scratch when you start drawing with the Pen.(you can remove this if you want but i have been advised by gaomon not to, why not have a bit of extra protection.) So i hope you dont freak out like i did when i saw scratches on my screen after drawing for a while. (Scratches appear on the screen protector mostly when drawing very fast long lines and also when the pen nub has not been changed after a long while of drawing. - if you plan on using dual monitors you absolutely need to dowload the drivers for the gaomon dp2200. If you do not download and install the driver and make some changes, the pen inputs on the display tablet will all be seen on the other monitor you are dual screening with instead of the pd2200. - i also recommend getting more of those nubs for the pen. In these past 2 weeks i have been drawing allot on the screen and the nubs seem to get sharp really quick.(maybe this might just be me for putting too much pressure when drawing and also drawing very swift straight lines) Other than that very good product. Really been enjoying it.

The good: -Screen is beautiful, great contrast and vibrant colors, lots of settings and ways to play around/customize it -Design is minimalistic and simple -Touch keys/buttons very responsive. -The screen is big (compared to the 15.6 inch tablet I was using before, the difference is like night and day) -Bezel on the screen isn't huge so it doesn't take up a ton of room beyond the screen -Included cables have cable ties for better cable management -IPS screen, so good viewing angles -Pen doesn't need to recharge -Vesa mount compatible, default stand has huge range of adjustment -Drawing feels responsive -3 cables means if one dies then its relatively easy to fix/replace -VERY inexpensive considering the features, no Wacom tax -Screen protector has a paper-like texture that feels great to draw on. Doesn't wear down pen nibs on mine despite what other reviews say, not sure what's up with that. Also it doesn't get scratched when you draw on it, unlike the PD156 pro when I had it - Basically zero parallax The Bad: -Screen has some ghosting, 25 ms response time means its not good for playing games (though you probably shouldn't buy this for gaming lol) -Buttons are hard to see at nighttime, and its really easy to press the wrong one. It would help if they were lit up. They are like touchscreen buttons which is super cool and I am a sucker for features like this, but this comes at the trade-off of it being hard to differentiate them by touch like physical buttons -If the power cable dies, then you can't replace it as easily as the USB and HDMI cables (more on this later...) -No scroll wheel -Screen protector makes the screen look worse/kinda grainy. It's a bit of a trade off, if you like the texture then its worth keeping, but if you don't mind drawing on glass for better colors then its worth it. The screen protector might get scratched when you draw on it based on what other reviewers say, but in my case it never did no matter how hard I press on the screen (within reason of course) -Somewhat low resolution for the size (low PPI) I originally bought the Gaomon pd156 pro, and while it is also good drawing tablet, it had a few issues that bogged it down in my opinion, so I decided to get this one as my daily driver. A few comparisons: -Screen on PD2200 has lower PPI (so it looks less sharp) but is obviously way bigger and has even better colors -PD2200 doesn't have a scroll wheel which I miss -Buttons on PD156 got greasy over time which THANKFULLY isn't an issue with the 2200 -Screen protector on 2200 is much better, doesn't get scratched/wear down pen nibs super fast A few days after I got this, the power cable it came with broke. I sent an email to customer support ([email protected]) on their website and they sent me a new one for free once I showed them that it was actually broken, proof of purchase, etc. which was really easy and they took care of it in a professional and timely manner. The time between the original cable dying and getting the replacement took all of a week, and I am super impressed! After I bought it they sent me an email with and FAQ and some general information as well about the tablet. They clearly care a great deal about their customers and products and didn't waste my time and/or send me a bot before I got to talk to an actual human. Despite its flaws (most of which I don't personally care about) I think this tablet is pretty great and I look forward to many years of making crappy anime drawings!
