This galvanized bike rack is a fantastic value and a well-made piece of equipment. Although it’s marketed to hold up to three bikes, I found it more comfortable for two without crowding them. The construction is heavy-duty galvanized metal, and the overall design is solid and durable. Even though intended as a bike rack, I actually purchased this to mount on my boat as a sturdy handrail. The strong tubing gives me a reliable point to hold onto when I’m leaning out to check trotlines or when the boat is underway. Installation was simple, thanks to the included mounting plate and hardware, and the heavy-duty base plates make it easy to secure firmly. Because of the tubing design, it also offers additional mounting options for accessories like floodlights or spotlights, which adds even more functionality. I know this product is intended to be a bike rack, but I saw the similarities in construction, height, and materials compared to marine-grade rails. This option was far more affordable while still serving the same purpose, so adapting it for my boat was an easy decision. Overall, it’s a sturdy, versatile piece of equipment and a great value for what you get.
