According to the description, this pump stores power in the battery so that the fountain will run at night. It just barely runs during the day, with full sun, and not at all at night. Not even when a little wispy cloud goes by. The lights work at night; yes. But not the fountain. I would not have shelled out the extra money for a battery pump if I had known that.

I really like this little fountain. Having the solar panel not floating around in the water like the one I bought previously clearly a hugh improvement. It comes on first thing in the morning before the sun even hits the panel. It is a winner imo.

It works well but you have to move it around to catch the sun otherwise the fountain is minimal. And now it stopped working. Can't figure out if the battery needs replacing!

I purchased this for use as a hummingbird birdbath. I spent the extra money because it is supposed to hold a charge and work even when the sun is not directly shining on it. It does NOT. I am very disappointed and regret spending so much on it.

Sitting on our patio at night is something we have designed our anesthetic around, and this pump fountain with the lights has done exactly what we wanted. The sound is calming, the hummingbirds love it, the plants like the humidity, and the light is perfect. Very good purchase for my money!

I like the product the solar panel is well made and not cheap plastic but glass. My only issue so far is I need something that will float and move up and down as my water level changes. I tried a few fails but finally settled on but a pice of dense foam and putting hole in the middle and then stick the fountain head on that. Works great so far. Day 2.
