The media could not be loaded. Does a great job of aerating a pond for a fraction of the power of traditional pump/diffuser head combo, and it's open impeller design prevents clogging. The only thing I would suggest is to leave the diffuser screen off. It interferes with the spray pattern (the spray pattern looks much better without it), and the screen catches debris that has to be removed frequently. I guess the only reason they include it is for safety reasons so you don't put your fingers into the impeller blades, but in the middle of a pond that shouldn't be a problem! The only negative is that it is a little pricey. ... show more

This is the perfect fountain for my wild pond. It is the third found rain I have tried, the first was too big, second too little, this one was just right. Sprays about 3-4ft hight and around 8ft diameter. One of my favorite things about the fountain is that it doesn't have a typical spray nozzle or head but instead shoots the water through a wire mesh that spreads it. The mesh is big enough that when the pump inevitably sucks up a frog or tadpole, it doesn't clog the system. Comes with everything you need to set up, installation is easy and straightforward. I bought this aerator only two months ago. After a month it stopped working completely - the engine just froze. When trying to ask for a refund the response I get is that it is after the allowed return period. This should never happen with such a product. The cost of installing it (with a certified technician) and then taking it out of the pond (which again cost me more) just to have a non-refundable faulty product is not something I would expect from a reputable company. ... show more

Very nice fountain. I'm very impressed with the heightened distance. So much so I ran it 24-7 all month to help aerate the pond. I was shocked to find it boosted my electric bill almost $300 for a month. I'll bevusing the timer for off peak hours. Just something to consider if you buy one.
