Description

Iron ore from the earth encounters a furnace and is made into steel, and that steel is forged and molded into a metal bezel that defines the rugged style and performance of the GA2100 series. Since its inception in 2019, the GA2100 series has continued to increase in popularity. Designed to be slim and compact, the GA2100 series delivers top performance and style without sacrifice. The silver-colored metal of the G-SHOCK GM2100-1A watch bezel is more than dramatic window dressing: it’s the protective capstone that presides over the feat of engineering and innovation that is the GA2100. The beauty of the stainless steel is undergirded by the resin case, delivering G-SHOCK’s famous shock resistance. The GM2100-1A is also 200m water resistant (wr 20 bar), and that complements the stainless steel bezel which is corrosion resistant. The textured black resin band provides style and comfort, highlighting the metal bezel. The texture in the black band demonstrates our attention to detail, and the dial receives that same attention. A metallic vapor deposition on the dial provides the beautiful finish and allows expression of minute details. A double LED light ensures the watch can be easily read in the dark. A Super Illuminator LED illuminates the face, while another Super Illuminator LED provides a backlight for the digital display. The sophistication and beauty of the polished metal comes in multiple colors.

Great all around watch

Overall, I am very pleased with this watch. It looks awesome and is built very well. It looks great as a formal watch and also as a casual everyday watch. I actually get compliments on it and many people don’t realize it is an g shock at first and think it’s a high end designer watch. And unlike most G shocks, it does not look super bulky and instead looks quite classy and slim. Overall functionality is good. It has the features you expect from a G shock and then some. I really like the hand shift feature, it is satisfying, watching the hands move out of the way. The super illuminator feature is nice too, it makes it easy to see the digital screen at night and the way the light shines in the corner and reflects on the inside is cool too. The 31 different time zones is great if you travel frequently. Unfortunately though, like most people said visibility of digital screen is not the best. Being a negative style display means that it can be hard to see if there is not an adequate light source. The small size of it doesn’t help. That being said, it’s not so bad once you get used to positioning the watch face so light reflects on that part at least. Still, it is nice being able to see the exact time and date with a switch of a button as well as a the second countdown. Plus if it really bothers you then they do sell a version with a positive style display which is easier to see but will a cost bit more. Finally, the size and fit ment of the watch is for me is perfect. Not too big not too small. I have average size wrists. The resin strap is great, feels and looks good especially with the added texture. If you have large wrists then you may find the diameter of the watch a bit too small. Overall I would say it is well worth it, especially when it is on sale. It is beautiful, functional and feels very well built. Very few minor cons. ... show more

Royal Oak meets G-Shock

Love the mix between analog and digital, plus the steel case makes it feel like a Royal Oak. The case size is large, but that’s kind of the point if a G-Shock. They do make a women’s model that is 20% smaller, they’re harder to find, but if you want a smaller case then know that they are not gender specific at all. This still gives Royal Oak vibes while being wayyyyy more capable, accurate, durable, free to service except for $2 battery every few years. ... show more
