This would be perfectly fine for a kids room. We had this to use as a guest sleeping space, the exact words they used the next morning were that they felt like they "had been hit by a truck". We'll keep as a sitting space, but do not recommend for sleeping.

Looks really nice, and is comfortable as a couch. BUT sleeping on it feels like I’m sleeping on bricks. I know most futons or sleeper couches aren’t comfy and expected some discomfort. There is no padding, I’m ordering a foam topper. For the price, it will work!

I had this sofa on my wish list for quite awhile and finally purchased it on sale. I purchased it for my home office and I relax on it all the time. The fold up sides have three optional positions and when it lays flat it has more overall sitting area. The back of the couch can be upright, reclined or laid flat. The reclining position feels as if it reclines a little too much so I always keep it upright. It is easy to assemble. I would recommend that you put something under the feet though as it will slide easily on bare floors. It felt stiff at first but now it is really comfortable. In addition...because there is a support board behind it when it is not lying flat I store some things behind it which puts them out of sight. ... show more

this is the worst futon couch I have ever purchased, it's very narrow and super short. it's basically a toy couch. the assembly is soso but the couch is split left and right, so when u move one side the otherside doesn't move. it's very thin, once you break the stuffing it's even thinner, dips in less than a week's use. the worst part about this couch: it slides. i tried putting all sorts of antislide on the legs, nothing works. it shifts in place just by sitting on it. I do sit on it with it fully laid flat, since it's only enough to seat half of my butt when the back is up. the back setting is hilariously dumb too, it has 2 incline settings: slightly lifted around 15° or fully up at 90°. neither is comfortable or useful. I have had $80 couch that's bigger, more comfortable than this. abosulte waste of money. stay away from this and similar products ... show more

This is definitely something that you would like to use as a small addition, though comfortable furniture into your room. It is a good fit for a small areas or narrow door frames. Office space in the attic is an example. Buying an insurance is a good choice, so you can use it with confidence.
