I found it a bit hard to fit the eggcrate into the cover, but that is to be expected. It came in a small box, that I couldn't believe was the right box. But upon opening, there were 2 vacuum closed rolls. Once I cut them, they sprang open and were the right size. The only negative thing I would say is the egg crate does compresss quite a bit. If I had an older dog, with arthritis, I would not want this bed. But my Shepherd is comfortable on it and enjoys putting her head on the sofa part. ... show more

Everything comes unassembled. The dog bed came in 2 pieces the foam mattress and then the whole rest of the bed which is a big bulky cover. First I had trouble getting the zipper open to place on foam part into and then it does not fit on right. Amazon should have sent something like this fully assembled but they did not. Chances are I will be returning this bed. As far as chew resistant it depends upon your dog, and it will not be easy to clean because the main cover of the bed is bulky and is not a good fit with the foam part. ... show more

My dog took right to the bed and loves it. I wouldn’t hesitate buying another one. My dog loves to dig at her bed and her beds always rip even the ones that say they are for aggressive chewers, this one has with stood serious digging and there’s been no rips and the seams are still together.

Great dog bed for large breed dogs, I have a corso/lab mix and a pure bred presa canario, the bed is perfect for them, gives them plenty of room to lay on their side and sprawl out.
