Very happy with the quality, manufacturing and appearance, especially for the reasonable price! It is a very pretty cabinet made of solid wood and nice hardware. It is heavy and sturdy. However, as per many reviews, the instructions are not easy at all, as the pieces are not/or poorly labeled, so you have to be really, really patient in putting it together. My husband took about 4 tedious hours assembling (only 2 missing screws he was able to replace with 2 we had) and says it is the most difficult item he has ever had to assemble. It is worth it, though, as it’s a great piece for the price! ... show more

This is beautiful, I am very happy with it. I love that it is pine and not particle board. The price was great, I would definitely recommend this product. Assembly was not easy. After reading other reviews I told my husband to expect it to be difficult and to make sure to take his time. It took him a bit over 3 hours. He said the directions were worse than Ikea, holes hadn't been drilled, and there were a few extra pieces with no direction about what they were and where they went. But since he was expecting this it all worked out. I love this item, but do expect to take your time and have a lot of patience during assembly. ... show more

I bought this cabinet to go on my covered porch to keep outside dishware and sundries for the BBQ. I think the natural finish goes well with my teak furniture. it’s not fine furniture you’d want in your dining room. The instructions are very hard to follow, some pilot holes are missing and I was missing a few screws, and some parts were not marked. Before I started, I went thru the manual and figured out the unmarked parts and marked them. I went very slowly and glued parts together as I went. Took about 4 hours because of this. But I didn’t have to take anything apart and redo. Just be patient. The pictures are accurate, if not confusing in some places. I’m happy with how it turned out and it’s certainly worth the cheap price. ... show more

I purchased this cabinet to replace one that came damaged. The first thing I noticed was how much better this was packaged. The boxes came inside additional protective boxes. The instructions were pretty good if you carefully follow the pictures. There are no written instructions. I have much experience assembling "knock down" furniture, so I had little problem. The one thing I noticed about this cabinet compared to similar cabinets is that the wood top and lower bottom boards were finger jointed instead of long laminated boards. The joints were very tight and this marginally detracted from the overall appearance. To make assembly easier I separated the hardware into an old silverware tray with the part number tags visible. I was only missing two small screws for the drawer pulls that were easily replaced. Overall this was a vey nice cabinet and would purchase again if needed. ... show more

The back is that cheap particle board. I bought this one as it appeared the back would look like the best of the cabinet. It does not and the place I put it you can see that cheapness from the back. Very disappointed. Some pieces were not labeled at all and it was a nightmare to assemble. Pretty cabinet though and is sturdy if you can get past the ugly back and nightmare of putting it together. ... show more

I love this piece of furniture. I thought it was going to be one of those “too good to be true” sales. But it is great! It is pretty sturdy, it’s solid wood, not pressed stuff. It was packed very well, plenty of material around the pieces. And all the pieces were there and labeled well. The only issue we had was the assembly! The directions are pretty much pictures only and small pictures too! But I’ve seen worse! And it definitely didn’t take only an hour and a half...but worth it in the long run. ... show more

Pretty good quality for a “build it yourself ” piece of furniture. It is real wood! It’s stained with no clear coat. It does take quite a bit of time to put together (3 hrs mostly by myself). It would have helped if all the pieces were marked. Some pieces had no numbers and the instructions had pictures and numbers only! I did manage to put it together with minimal help.     • Difficult but worth it

Looks fantastic once finished, but be ready for a rustic build. We ordered this in Natural. The end result is amazing. Rustic, farmhouse charm that doesn’t look mass-produced. To give it a softer finish and a little extra protection, we added a coat of Tung Oil, which I’d recommend if you want a mild sheen without losing the natural character of the wood. Assembly is definitely on the "mildly difficult" side. It’s not impossible, but having some patience and basic woodworking skills helps. Some of the boards were slightly warped, which made fitting things together tricky, but it actually added to the rustic charm once complete. I’d say expect 2-5 hours with two people. Tools that came in handy: hammer, rubber mallet, standard and Philips screwdrivers, a center punch, a square with metric measurements, and some clamps. Clamps especially weren’t mentioned but made a big difference. The kit itself had nearly no spare parts, so double check counts before starting. On the plus side, the packaging was excellent and everything arrived in good condition. Once assembled, it feels sturdy and solid. Worth the effort and the price for what you get. If you’re after something polished and precise, this might not be the piece for you. If you like rustic furniture with character, and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves a bit, the finished product looks great and feels built to last. ... show more
