The overall bench is very nice....however...the finishing on the bench was poor quality...I had to sand the whole bench due to many rough pieces with little splinters...cause for sliver risks for those using the bench. In need of more manufacturering quality control. Price was a little high given the fact that i had to do finshing on the bench. The instructions were sadly insufficient. ... show more

It has lasted well, needed a wood treatment (teak oil) before use as I am in a heavy summer rain climate. Cushion is quite thin but overall good purchase at affordable price.

The wood seat had gouges on the top. Holes in the end pieces (arm rests) were twice as large as needed so when the seat screws were at the bottom of the hole you could see the top of the hole by the screw head. Anchor holes in seat were too large and too deep so the barrel anchors didn't align with the seat screws. Took 40 minutes to put in 4 screws. Other 4 screws were as easy as they all should have been. Quality was mediocre. If it is just for decoration it's fine. If you actually plan to sit on it it may not hold up well. ... show more

    • Two of the four main holes were not properly machined out.

Two of the four holes for the screw-on bolts were not properly machined out. I had to carefully drill out enough area so the the screw could thread into the bolt. If I overdid it the space would be too large and not hold the bolt. This took me almost 1.5 hours of extra assembly time because I would drill out some wood, put the bolt into the hole, flip the bench over so bolt would stay in, attempt to thread screw into bolt, and when it didn't thread I turn bench back over so bolt would fall out. This was the perfect fit for my small front porch. Easy to assemble. I gave it a 4 star for 2 reasons. 1. Mine didn’t come with the pad but no biggie I bought some pillows and it looks and feels fine now. I can’t say with the pad but without the pad it’s rather rough on the buttocks. 2. Upon other reviews I saw for outdoor use it could become weathered. I have not experienced this cause I have not had it for long but I went ahead and slapped a coat of Varnish to prevent that from happening. All in all it’s a nice and sturdy product! ... show more
