It heats up fast and you know exactly to what temperature as it does display the temperature. I'm really into that beachy wave look for the summer so I use it to straighten the top of my head and curl the bottom. I do like that you can lock it but I still would not put it away until it cools down.

I thought this was just a flat iron. It’s to curl your hair if you’re talented about wrapping hair ends etc..lol. I kept it, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. Iron section is pretty small. For the price point it will work. Well packaged.

Heats fast, swivel cord, and the plates are very smooth and my hair doesn’t get stuck in the edges of the plates like it does with most irons. I have very thick, curly, long hair, like so long I sit on it sometimes and this iron straightens it easily and quickly and leaves it shiny. the locking mechanism broke after 3 or 4 months, which is insignificant to me, and I assumed it was probably my fault the way I store my iron and am less than gentle with it.

I was so excited about getting this but quickly became disappointed. The temperature gage is right where my hand is and the constant changing of the temperature is frustrating. I wish they would’ve made it so once you put it on the heat you wanted it locked in or at least make the dial so that the temperatures each click in place. Every time I use it I get so frustrated I want to give it to Goodwill.

I highly recommend this curl/flat iron. The only improvement I can recommend is a stronger/better locking mechanism because mine stopped locking by the third use.
