I would recommend pulling them outside ways because the spacing between the material there's a risk for a cross-contamination as the water droplet would come in contact and they spread between the two pads so the best way to do it is dip it in the water for the two seconds but when you go to take it out don't pull it straight up take it out on an angle almost sideways like a knife blade and the plastic is hydrophobic so it won't leave a water droplet this way you're getting the best cleanest results possible without that droplet in between the two pads you could watch it just sink in and then the edges of the two tests are showing negligible results for the price of the product is beyond worth it but it's just a good technique to practice if you would like accurate readings ... show more
