This bed comes in two boxes and totals around 140lbs between the two. However, everything is clearly labeled, comes with a complete packing list (with extras of almost every small part, just in case) and has detailed pictorial assembly instructions. The instructions are almost exclusively pictorial, so if you are looking for explanations with the pictures, you are largely out of luck. It took me about 4 hours going step by step to put it together from the time I opened the first box until I laid down on it. I purchased the fold up memory foam mattress to go with this and it all fits together splendidly. So far, based on relative ease of assembly, appearance, and how surprisingly sturdy it is, I have to give it 5 full stars. If I come up with some major deficiency down the road, I will try to come back and edit my review, but for now, looks like a great purchase!

This was surprisingly easy to put together. The directions were really good and I am very happy with how it looks all put together. I only marked it down one star because it is not designed well for letting up in bed as the top panel doesn't lift fully and one of the boards holes did not line up properly with the rail track. I triple-checked and also had my family members look as well and it definitely was done wrong. It was simple enough to put the holes in where I needed them though. This is a great bed. It took about 4 hours to assemble with 2 people but it is very sturdy and well made. The holes for the screws lined up and the instructions were very easy to follow. It is a great bed for guests and doesn't take up a ton of space.

The track system does not work, which means the bed cannot be folded into the cabinet. Defeats the purpose of having a murphy bed! Replacement parts received from the company did not resolve the issue. Spent about 30 hours assembling, troubleshooting, disassembling and re-assembling. Cannot resolve issue. Have requested a refund from the seller AND support in disassembling, packing and shipping the product back.

This replaced a full-size bed in a small bedroom. Now I can use this guest room as an office. The unit looks great, works well. I particularly like the storage drawer. It is large enough for sheets, a Duvet, and pillows. However, be warned that assembly is a time-consuming task that requires both patience and skill. I had a young friend help me, and it still took about six hours to complete.

Excellent bed! If you’re new to assembling furniture, it may take some extra time, but the directions are straightforward and easy to follow. Trifold memory foam mattress (purchased separately) fits easily when filing everything away. The only thing I’d say is to watch out for the middle piece when the bed portion is out flat. It is the front portion when everything is folded up, so sticks out a bit and is an enemy to shins (see last photo for culprit identification).
