Beautifully designed and well made product, been having it for over 5 months now and it’s been great! This product was made with great quality parts and has held up in a great way with kids 9 & 10. Was a process to put together but the picture instructions were easy to follow. I feel as those this item is stable enough to withstand long term use and plenty of play. So far it’s performed well with many forts made at the hands of playful children. 10/10 for stability & with that I think you should consider it. This room also is small and it makes it feel 10x bigger!

It came out great, but the ordeal of building it was beyond the worst furniture building nightmare Ive ever experienced. One of the slots for screws was bent just like I read in a different review so I had to go out and buy a locking plier to bend it straight. That was the easiest bungle.... Theres 38 steps and each step was a nightmare. Sometimes the parts wouldn't line up right so i had to trouble shoot over and over and go back a step or two to figure out wtf. And then sometimes i wouldnt notice that some obscure hole was on the wrong side of something so id have to unscrew and then get it lined up again. There were so many parts and hard to keep track of them. It was short a washer and short a short screw. I hated that experienced. I wish it never happened. And i usually enjoy assembling furniture, i have fun with ikea stuff. But this wasnt fun. I was brought to tears several times. I felt ridiculous. It was embarrassing, i kept hitting my head. Why.

You will need a tall ceiling 8-9' for this bed. Ages upto 10 - Depending on the size. The ladder is a bit narrow. Overall, it is made VERY well. We're happy with the desk and bed combo. The metal is strong and the wood coloring is clean and nice. This photo angle is a bit narrowed.

Great Purchase - Somewhat Misleading Product Images

Though exceedingly happy with this purchase, I fear I must remove a star for the following 2 reasons: 1. The thumbnail images for this product depict the ladder on the left-hand side. During the build, it became immediately apparent that those images presenting this bed thusly are mirror-reversed; as far as I can tell, the ladder can ONLY be placed on the right hand side. So...if like me, you had carefully selected this bunk for the ladder placement based on room configuration - you should know the images are NOT accurate. We cannot use the ladder as intended & were forced to make other arrangements to reach the upper level. 2. The instruction manual has various incorrect diagrams, but if you've ever contended with IKEA before, you'll be able to figure it out. The design is sturdy ✅ Having dual queen sized mattresses rocks ✅ The build process is about 3-4 hours, depending on you ✅ *Pro tip: Store the instructions, spare pieces, allen wrench in a marked ziplock wherever you keep manuals. If you ever need to dissemble/reassemble elsewhere, you'll be so proud of your foresight.
