My old briefcase was worse for wear, so I bought this one based on reviews. It appears to be very high quality and, as others have mentioned, it is packaged very carefully. It comes in a large box, is covered in a nylon draw string bag, and all internal areas are stuffed with paper for protection. The color (mine being dark brown) is very nice and uniform. The strap is heavy duty, the zippers appear to be nice, and the material inside the pockets appears to be durable. There are a bazillion pockets, zippered pockets, snap rings, and other cubby holes. I really like it so far, but durability will be forthcoming. I used mink oil all over it right out of the box to soften the leather and provide some weather proofing, and the color just looks great. I'll update if I have issues with the interior materials, which some buyers have reported. Hopefully I got the "new" design which fixes that issue. ... show more

It looks fantastic. I’ve already received several admiring comments. More importantly, it is very functional. It has all the pockets one would need, easily accommodating a laptop AND an iPad in separate compartments while having a even separate location for documents/files. Great value!

I ordered this computer bag on prime day and got it today. I got this to replace one that is 5 years old and showing its age. Seriously, this is one of the highest quality, best looking, and wonderful smelling item I have ever owned. First of all, it is beautiful. The leather smells wonderful and the materials are the highest grade I have seen. This is top grain leather and my old one was not, and you can feel the difference. The buckles are solid and beautiful. The strap is like a thick belt. There is ample room for my computer, writing tablets, pens, and plug ins. The zippers are the best I have ever seen on a beach l backpack or computer case. Even the color, a rich chocolate brown looks expensive. I treated this with leather balsam and it is in the process of doing right now. I'm like a kid at Christmas looking at it a few times already. And the packaging is absolutely beautiful. This looks and feels expensive and you would have their version of a Tiffany box giving this a a gift. Anyone would love this, either as a gift to themselves or someone else. ... show more

Guys, this bag is awesome! It is exactly as described. Has 3 compartments and a luggage strap. The packaging was immaculate, every single compartment had a lot of care put into packing, the care instructions were spot and it came with a neat protection bag! It has plenty of space for my 16 inch MacBook and everything else I need. It's worth every penny. The construction is very sturdy and the zippers are solid metal clasp lockers. Update... after just a few days from the time I notified them of my bag's problem - I had a new bag. They also mentioned they knew some bags had problems and had redesigned certain features. At the same time they were shipping my 1st replacement bag they mentioned they would ship one of the new designed bags as soon as they were available. I didn't believe them... Today I got my 3rd bag, the redesigned bag. It looks great. The new magnet snaps work much better. Hopefully the lining holds up in the redesign - I have no reason to doubt them now. I think every company runs into problems at times and the way the company responds to problems says a lot. This company has blown me away with their reaction. Outstanding. How can you go wrong purchasing a product from this company when they act so quickly to replace faulty products. They deserve 5 stars! I use a laptop & files bag daily between office & home/hotels plus many flights snd lots of walking in airports etc. The promise of sturdiness made me decide to buy this one -after my previous bag (Kenneth Cole) lasted just 9 months. When I was packing my bag from my home office just 10 days after delivery (with 3 days idle at my house) I noticed the flap wasn't closing properly. I lifted the flap and saw the fabric had come apart at the stitching. So dissapointing. The bag looks good. It certainly appears sturdy but it has flaws. Talking with customer service (who responded super fast) they are aware of the problem and have changed the design or process. They sent me a replacement bag after I completed a quick online form - I had the replacement within 3 days. The new bag unfortunately is still the old design/process so it will most likely break again. However, the customer service said they will send me the new design when it is available. Beside the one flaw this bag is awesome. It looks and functions great. However - I will leave the replacement bag in the box to exchange with one that doesn't have the same flaw. Kudos though to the manufacturer for immediate responding - they said they just wanted to get a new bag in my hand right away so I had a bag to use.... I originally rated this at 1 star but increased to 3 stars on account of the awesome service and everything else about the bag - beside the flaw. It is still flawed though. ... show more

The case itself is rather heavy, so, by the time you pack it with an iPad, chargers and other travel needs, it can weigh you down. I still love it but will probably not be using it for air travel. The strap is also substantial and adds even more bulk and weight to the package. Coming back from Florida this month I packed the strap in my suitcase to reduce the weight.
