It turns my hips and stretches my back. I have the best night of sleep and wake up refreshed whenever I use the mat. I make sure to test the neck flaps and leg flaps to make sure I'm in good position for the inflation to hit the right spots. I'm 5'8 and the mat fits all sections of my body. My sister (5'11) and my dad (6') also enjoyed the mat. It's quiet and soothing with heat, massage, and stretching. It's great on the lowest intensity. I've gone up to level 2 after a rough day at work and it was exactly what I needed! It's compact foldaway design makes it easy to store. Normally, when you order a massager, you expect the rotation to push the hot spots and work the knots aggressively or lightly, depending on the settings you choose. This massager takes a completely different approach. Instead of pushing or rolling on your skin, it feels air and vibrates. I don't think it can replace the more common shiatsu massages, but it's a great addition to your home spa/healing collection. This massage mat is more like physiotherapy, filling with air in all the right places and gently stretching and twisting tense/tight muscles. You can adjust the air fill to provide more or less movement, and just like a massage therapist or physiotherapist would do, it lifts your head and neck and gently twists them from side to side as you move your back to twist the spine and fill it with air to create movement from the hips to the neck. I'm quite active and have made Flow definition for about 30 minutes part of my bedtime routine. I find it reduces the pain and relaxes me so I can sleep - sometimes I fall asleep even while I'm doing it.

I have used my massage mat now several times and LOVE it. It had truly helped me feel better both in my body and mind. The mechanisms flow effortlessly, and are not overpowering. The heat is such a wonderful added bonus. It is easy to use and you can customize it for how you are feeling and what you need each time. I now do not go to my bowling league or tournaments without using it first to stretch and relax my muscles. I use the time I am on it to relax and meditate. It is a win, win.

Amazing! This is the most awesome thing I've bought in a long time. It's perfect after a workout. The technology is really astonishing. I think it's better than a massage chair! I just use the auto setting and it goes through the entire program about 4 times. I do recommend the high heat setting because I don't think it gets very hot. Not at all like a heating pad. Regardless, you will be amazed at this little wonder. Buy it before the price goes up!

This massage works very good, the twisting function is effective but not controlled on how far it goes, if under your neck it can hurt. The lumbar air lifts are great for stretching, I do wish there was one step lower for initial users. I have not used med or high yet due to a back surgery. Low is almost too much. For the legs. The massage is very light, small amounts of pressure. I used a pillow between my legs for a bit more of a message. This part of message needs a little more improvement.

This is worth every penny and beyond my expectations. I forgot the world even existed after spending about an hour trying out the different features of it. I have spinal stenosis/disc degenerative disease, and some days my mobility is ceased due to the intense pain in my hips. Using the highest intensity level it worked out the pain without producing more pain, if that makes sense. Seems quite durable and the comfort therapy is comparable to a spa massage. I plan to use this in my nighttime routine.

I've gone through several back massagers over the years and I finally found the one. I read many reviews and went back and forth between airbag and shiatsu massagers for my buying decision and I'm glad I picked this one. I've owned shiatsu back massagers and they work ok but after a while the repeated hard pressure becomes uncomfortable. I also had an airbag massage mat but it had a smaller number of airbags which were also smaller, and the control options were limited, but still, more comfortable than the shiatsu type. The HY-8639 is a big step up from all the massagers I've had, but surprisingly, at a similar price point. The unit arrived well-packed and the included booklet is well written with easy-to-understand operating instructions. The mat seems well-constructed and the controller has actual physical buttons, unlike others that use an overlay membrane for buttons that get easily damaged. The physical buttons are well-placed and easy to memorize ( I can now operate the remote without having to look at it). I'm 5'-9" and this mat fits quite well. To me, the airbags are just the right size, not too big and not too small. The neck airbags can be adjusted and if I want a little more twisting pressure on my neck, I set the neck airbags a little higher on my neck. The rest of the airbags are located in a way that they apply pressure that feels more natural. There are various modes and levels to choose from and the heating area is plenty big. All the control modes have a well-thought-out massage pattern, including the way the airbags inflate. At different times during the massage, the airbags will inflate in short pulses, and the twist pattern which I prefer, quickly switches between the lower left hip and upper right back airbag and vice versa to apply the maximum twist at different times during the 20-minute massage. Why do I say this is the one? because I've tried many and because this is the only massage mat that cracks my back and neck with full relaxation.
