    • Critical Machining Difference in LH-LX23 -- Pay the $35 Extra Cost

Haoge and JJC (both good companies) offer knock-offs for half the price of the Fuji LH-XF23 ... but they fit much too tight and risk damage to this expensive lens. I have purchased all three lens hoods and there is an observable difference in the way the Fuji original is machined that accounts for why it fits so much better. I just need one LH-XF23 for both my XF 23mm f/1.4 and my 56mm f/1.2. The cost difference between the knock-offs and the Fuji LH-XF23 is about $35 while the XF 23mm and XF 56mm cost about $900 each. (Note: All 3 lens hoods block about 25% of my X-Pro 2 OVF using either the 23 or 56, so the the lens hood is frequently on and off each lens only when shooting conditions require ... hence the importance of the better machining and fit of the LH-XF23 lens hood.) ... show more

Quite expensive, but Great design and function, I’m using this on the Fujifilm 56mm f/1.2 However I do wish the cap would latch on a bit more firmly, seems it’ll eventually get knocked off the hood and be lost. Too bad there are no replacements sold...

This metal hood has saved the life of my lens already!!! Only downside is that I lost the flat lens cap and when I called Fuji to see if I could buy another one they told me they don't even have the lens cap to sell me! So deducting stars for not having replaceable parts. But overall this thing is a monster and I love it to death! ... show more

The lens hood itself is gorgeous, works well and has a nice firm attachment... but the cap constantly falls off. Don't be surprised when you lose it or just become so frustrated with it coming off that you don't even bother put it on.

A must have with your FujiFilm XF-23mm f/1.4 lens. This lens hood will also work with your FujiFilm XF-56mm f/1.4 lens. What can I say FujiFilm makes some of the best products out there. Well worth the investment.
