This is sold and labeled as the "Extra Lubrication" model, which seems to be meaningless marketing hype. The mechanisms definitely felt rough and gritty like it needs to be lubricated. The come-along works fine and is heavy duty, just don't think you are going to get any value out of the "extra lubrication". It also comes in a thin cardboard box with no padding, so mine had some nicks and dings from shipping. Not a big deal since it will likely get beat up worse in use, but just be aware.

Solid unit. These are always a little tricky to open and get working, but this did OK straight out of the package. Can in good condition. Sometimes heavier metal items do not do well in transport, but this came in perfect condition. Heavy duty and great for around the house or keep in the car. Comes with three hooks, and integrated pulley. The pulley is a game changer and provides not only leverage but positioning flexibility for odd angle approaches or side pulling. This is a nice unit. I am replacing a 25 year old one I had that the cable finally broke, and this is actually as good of quality as my old one. That is not so true these days with cheap replacements. This is a nice unit. Will be my primary, even if I fix my old one.

Really wished I had this when I was pulling out a large tree stump a few months ago. Had to use a car jack and farmer jack to get that out. This is heavy duty winch with a pulley. Really heavy. I couldn't figure out how to release the cable. Kept messing with the tab with the red rubber. Didn't realize there was a one page instruction buried at the bottom of the box. Glad I didn't toss away the box immediately. It requires you to disengage two latches to release the cable for extra safety.

This thing means business. The 5 ton rating is no joke and perfect for tough jobs like stretching fence, dragging heavy equipment or vehicle recovery. The dual gear setup makes pulls feel smoother and more controlled so you’re not fighting it every step of the way. Build quality’s solid steel frame, stout cable and strong forged hooks. The handle’s big and easy to grip which gives you good leverage without killing your hands. Bonus points for the pre lubed internals. It feels slick right out of the box. Despite the muscle it’s still light enough to haul around without issue. If you need a portable workhorse that can take on big loads this one delivers.
