Nice frosted glass overlay! It's durable yet easy to work with and end result is awesome. Make sure you use liberal amounts of water as they tell you. You'll want to grab some better quality razor blades as the one provided it not very good. Be patient when using the applicator and make sure you get as much water pushed out as you can. I found going over it multiple times and taking my time was the key. At this price you can't beat it.

We purchased this to cover a garage window for privacy without blocking a lot of light. It is thinner than other brands I've tried (a good thing), so it does a good job of not blocking too much light. The instructions were not very clear to me, so I did a Google search and found some instructions that were easy to follow - I'd recommend doing a quick search for some. The blade that comes with it for trimming is very flimsy. It made the trimming sloppy so my final edges were not straight. It also made trimming the corners difficult. My suggestion is to use a regular utility knife instead. Basically, to install you want to make sure the window is clean. Cut the film slightly larger that you need (an inch or so). Spray soapy or plain water on the window. Lay the film down on a clean surface with the paper backing side down. As you start to peel the film up from the backing, spray water onto the surface you'll be adhering to the glass - this prevents it from sticking to itself. Put the film onto the glass, then use the tool or a credit card to press out bubbles and remove excess water, from center out. Wipe extra water from the outside of the film and give it a couple days for any water to evaporate. Trim with a utility knife. A good trick to easily separate the film from its backing is to put a small piece of painters tape one a corner, one on the film, another slightly offset on the backing, then pull the two pieces of tape apart.

Applied this easily to my fish tank for that frosted back glass look and the film is nice and thick. It was easy and quick to do and best of all, this kit came with all you need to do it. It has a small spray bottle for water, a tool to smooth the air bubbles out and a little razor so you can get the entire job done without going back to the store. It really doesn't get much easier even for someone who's never done it before. The thickness of the film allows it to be tough and forgiving at the same time and came with enough film to do several small tanks and a medium one. I doubt this film will tear, it feels like good quality film and cutting it to fit with the included razor was simple and easy because I didn't have to worry about cheap film tearing. This was literally a 15 minute job. Get as many air bubbles as you can out of the film after it is applied and the very small ones will disappear after the water dries. Now my tank looks like it should, very nice with a frost background and I can't see any abnormalities with the film. Very happy!

We're using this on a school bus window, and it clings just fine. It seems somewhat forgiving being that I needed to remove and reposition, though I would recommend spraying a little water/dish soap mixture and then squeegee-ing the water out to get it right into position. You can't make out much of what's going on inside, keeping private things private, all the while not blocking much light. Exactly what I wanted!

Wanted this for my kids bathroom. Used this kind of thing before but the self adhesive style. This is more like cling-film, but it doesn't cling ! I followed the instructions to the letter, and it seemed to go on the window OK, but literally a day later the corners were curling up, and peeling away from the windows. Short of gluing them down, there was no way to fix it, so in the end I peeled them off and threw the whole lot away! Don't waste your time!

I wanted to reduce the heat coming in through some windows in summer. This seemed like just the thing. But I also want to see out clearly and this film is darker than I want. It's nice that it comes with the tools to install it. It's hard to know how dark a tint something is when shopping online. I think this could work fine for some people, especially for those who want privacy.
