    • Very nice cooktop and very good looking. Slight packaging/shipping issues.
This cooktop is beautiful! And compared to the ancient coil burners I had, it's wonderful to cook on. There were packaging issues with it though. Loose brackets floating around not secured that could have cracked or scratched it. Fortunately mine was not damaged by them. But there were loose screws that had come out and were rattling around inside the backing plate. I was able to get them out and get it all back together. But the packaging issues are why I'm not giving it 5 stars. Otherwise I would say 5 stars. The knobs are solid metal and not plastic - very nice! If you've never had ceramic, it might not be for everyone. Personally, I'd probably prefer gas, but I was already setup for electric and didn't feel like doing all the work to switch to gas. I've been very pleasantly surprised by this one -- I'm definitely more excited to cook than what I had before, and it really does look stunning. The flat and glass like top is both easy and hard to clean. If you're usually lazy about cleaning, like me, this type might actually be good. It is easy to clean if you use the right cleaner, but it also shows very much if it's not 100% clean. So it's sort of yin and yang thing - My cooktop area is going to look a lot cleaner now, but I'm also going to be cleaning it after every time I cook. I will say, though, it sure looks sharp once I spend that few min after each use to clean it. Use the cerama bryte once the cooktop is cooled and it really looks impressive in the kitchen. ... show more

    • Do not buy this glass cooktop.
This is the first negative review I have ever written. I had this cooktop for 8 months and a small what looked like a scratch about 1", in the glass developed. I tried to polish it off with the glass cleaner but couldn't. The scratch grew and developed into a crack that spread from the right side to the front edge about 18" a couple pieces of glass flaked off. The technician's report said there was some impact with the glass. WELL I AM THE ONLY PERSON THAT USES THE COOKTOP AND THERE WAS NEVER ANYTHING THAT IMPACTED THE GLASS. Frigidaire would not honor their warranty. ... show more
