Works great! Can be a tad noisy if your home is quiet you will notice, but otherwise it’s perfect! Easy to remove water reservoir to refill. You do have to turn it around to drain it occasionally. Easy maintenance with bleach and vinegar to keep clean and scale free.

    • It’s cheaper to buy bagged ice than to buy a machine that will only last 6 weeks.
It worked great, until it stopped working at about 6 weeks. I reached out to Frigidaire to figure out what the next steps would be to get it fixed. Unfortunately, they don’t actually deal with the warranty, it’s farmed out to Curtis, which they only deal with claims via email. It took them 5 days to acknowledge my email, I missed one step out of the 7 that they ask for (clear pictures of the serial numbers, front and back pictures, a video of the unit and what it’s doing, etc) so they responded back for the missed step and then it took them another 5 days to tell me I have to package it and ship it at my cost to their warehouse where they will then decide if I’m going to get a refund or a repaired one and then they’ll “shoulder” the cost of shipping. Original claim was filed 8/8. As of 8/21 I told them I’ll take a refund or a prepaid shipping label. I would never buy this machine again. Shame on Frigidaire for putting their name on something with a company who has crap customer service/return policy for an item that was so poorly made that it didn’t even last a full 2 months. ... show more

    • Warranty policy sucks
I got this in Sept 2024. Initially very satisfied. Unit worked great, loved the ice it produced. A definite 5 star product. But then..... In April 2025, We went to visit family and were gone for about one month. We cleaned and drained the unit. Unplugged it and left. Upon our return, the unit would not work. All water poured into reservoir would Immediately drain into overflow basin, and no ice would be produced. I sent video of malfunction and all other required information to Frigidaire warranty office. They replied with instructions to return the item to them (at our expense)!!!! $78 per USPS!! I cleaned it again and it started to work so I did not send it in. ( my thought was I had not drained it thoroughly enough and some water had caused a valve to stick open from non-use). It worked perfectly until the end of MAY 2025. It was in constant use during this time, by constant, I mean 24/7!!! Then it started draining again and not producing ice. At this point according to the instructions sent me by the warranty office, if it doesn't meet their criteria for warranty, it can be sent back to me (at my expense)! ... show more

    • Great, when it works.
We have bought this item once and it was amazing up until 3 months into full use. We figured we received a faulty machine because we could not get rid of a loud buzzing noise that began after three months. We did the regular maintenance cleaning routine and tried draining any fluids to try to get rid of the noise. It did not go away. Then we bought a second unit and unfortunately we came across the same problem. I would not recommend unless you want great ice machine for 3 months or so. The reviews for this product seem to state the same issue and I hope the product improves because of right now, it is unreliable. Great for 3-4 months and then it fails. We also encountered a dimmed out light where the modes are. (Ice/Clean) I'd like to state that I am a big fan of this machine when it does work. It's just too pricey to keep buying for such short time. I might just stick to the old ice cube tray. ... show more

    • Good ice maker but it does make some noise
Makes ice pretty quick. Ice is a little wet so it will turn into a block if you just dump the hopper into your freezer. The ice could be a little larger for me taste. It does make a fair amount of noise.

I should have taken the negative reviews more seriously, because they were absolutely right. This Frigidaire ice maker was a complete waste of money—worked for barely a month before breaking down completely. I exhausted every fix I could find online, read all the troubleshooting articles, and nothing made a difference. This isn’t just a fluke either—years ago I made the mistake of buying a Frigidaire refrigerator, which was hands down the worst appliance I’ve ever owned. I swore I’d never waste another dime on this brand, and now I regret giving them a second chance.
