Ok so what can I say it’s not a Frigidaire dishwasher. This is an excellent piece of engineering craftsmanship. 100 degree days in Florida. Our ranch house on a canal with cinder block construction has a very cool THREE CAR garage. YES BUY THIS UNIT. I write negative reviews too but this AC unit is AWSOME! It can make an mildly insulated three car garage cool 69 degrees if you run it for two days. Or just set it to 80 degrees it shut off an on by itself. The remote is really cool too. Very good investment to calm down an keep your cool. Keep your elders from passing out in a 115 degree garage. It’s a good utility to have. I honor the tiny security fasteners in the kit. It also makes water. It’s not clean water but it does make some condensation below the unit. Two people to install. It is heavy. Frigidaire thanks for using Thomas Edison’s idea. ... show more

I was replacing a 25,000 BTU which I had replaced with the old one before was that lasted like 30 years Forst one everyone asked me to turn it down now these new ones don’t work as well then I realize look it up and to replace the same 25,000 BTU and I was fortunate to run into a 28,000 BTU price was good appreciate it very much I’m 65 years old so I’m new to ordering I need to start looking up more items ... show more

Bought this unit off of Amazon on 6/30 last year. Came back from vacation this year on 7/1. Took the winter cover off and started it up for the first time this year. It made a horrible grinding noise and stopped working. No error codes, nothing displayed on the LCD. We called Frigidaire the same day and were told they would try to locate someone in our area to come out and repair the unit and to give them three days. They were working the 4th of July Holiday and we should know by Wednesday the following week. Did hear from anyone and called on Wednesday and was told that the people I spoke with on Friday, 7/1, didn't know what they were talking about and that they actually needed 5 business days.. I called them back on Monday the following week. I was told my unit wasn't covered. Placed on hold for up to 50 minutes and transferred to a survey. They would pretend like they couldn't hear me on my phone. I called no less that 15 times and the narrative kept changing. Finally on July 20th I get someone on the phone who said that my request for a replacement letter had to go to corporate and that I would be sent a replacement unit in two weeks. I still don't have anything in writing or anything from Frigidaire saying that this will happen or even acknowledging my claim. The temperatures where I am are consistently over 100 and I don't have AC after spending over $1000.00 the year before. Out of frustration, I file a claim with BBB. On 7/21, FINALLY, I get a call from Frigidaire responding to my BBB complaint. The first they ask is where I bought the unit. I look the store up on Amazon and they tell me it's not an authorized dealer. They were going to continue to try and get a response from two service providers in my area that hadn't responded to their initial requests and if they didn't hear back from them I was SOL. To sum up, spent over $1100.00. Have physically had the unit for less than 1 year and Frigidaire says so sad, too bad, you shouldn't have purchased it from the person you bought it from. Meanwhile, I'm sweating my A** off. Needless to say, I will never buy another appliance from Amazon and definitely not from Frigidaire/Electrolux. 9/6 - Come to find out that even though this unit is 1 year old, Frigidaire does not offer a replacement motor for it. I've contacted repair people and appliance replacement part stores and no one has it because Frigidaire does not list it in their available parts for this unit. Ive been buying this size AC from Frigidaire for 13 years now. They seem to last 6 years if you run nonstop like I do here in Texas. The good side of things is it cools down a 950 square foot down stairs area, thats poorly insulated on a hot day.. The down side is I framed the original one in years ago so well it would be a nightmare to rip it out to install another sleeve that holds the unit. Wouldnt be a problem but that is where they put the serial number for warrenty. But they are good sound units. This is my 3rd one in 13 years. ... show more

Bought this a/c unit to replace a smaller btu window unit. Also went from 115 volt old unit to 220 volt new unit. This air conditioner is much quieter and more efficient than my old unit. Just beware, this unit being 28k btu is very heavy! It does have a shell that the unit slides into which makes adjusting and installing easier, but the final sliding in of the main unit requires at least 2 strong people. Being 220 volt required a new outlet being installed by the window, but the energy savings will pay for itself in a short time. ... show more

This unit had to be installed in a spacious room with 12' ceilings. Because of the larger BTU, I knew it would be heavier than the one it was replacing. With extra help, it got installed without a hitch and very minor adjustments were needed. Couldn't find this size locally. I'm thankful to find it on Amazon at a reasonable price! ... show more
