  • Buyer made up for bad delivery experience
This buyer truly went out of their way to help us with horrible delivery issues. We like the fridge

  • Works fine.
A good buy, am satisfied. Bought the extended warranty just in case, but no reason to believe it will fail. Recommended.

  • Matches our oven.
The delivery people moved it into our house for us, thank goodness.

  • Bought refrigerator in April, already broken
We bought this new Frigidaire (model FFTR1835, serial #BA21104123, manufactured in March 2022) in April, and it's already broken (the light will not turn on, freezer doesn't freeze). Called Frigidaire about the problem, and was given a regional service provider out of Elizabeth City NC (we live in Nags Head, NC), we are asked to contact them ourselves. Tried to call the service provider using the number and hitting a please leave a voice message and then a voice mailbox full message for days, called Frigidaire back repeatedly to try to get an alternative number, and denied each time. We eventually got a text message from the service provider giving us an appointment date, and we we texted back to confirm, and our texts were totally ignored. We just kept waiting until the day of the appointment, and nobody showed up. Called Frigidaire back to more deaf ears, and about one week later, received another text message from the service provider saying that there was death in the family, and gave a new date. When we tried to confirm it by responding to the text, they were again ignored. So the new appointment date came by and another no show! Instead we get a third message that they are coming in town the following day, not sure what to believe at this point, just praying. Thank God, we did have someone showing up the next morning, and after some checks, declared the unit not repairable. 3 weeks have passed since we reported the problem to Frigidaire, but the saga is far from over. We called Frigidaire and told them what the service person informed us, and ask for a replacement unit. Frigidaire responded that they have to get the official report from the service provider declaring the unit as non-repairable before they can issue a replacement. Knowing how poorly the service provider handles communication, we ask that Frigidaire to call them to find out, and was told that they tried but couldn't reach them, so instead will send an email requesting response instead. After another day or two, we finally get confirmation from Frigidaire that they received that communication. We think that ok, now we should be able to get our replacement. But no so fast, Frigidaire is now telling us that it will take 10 business days for them to process the request, that's two weeks. Yesterday (7/1/2022) we called back to get an update, and was told that the communication is not yet issued, but it was still only the 9th business day, so they have one more business day, which means, hopefully they will do it on the day after July 4. And instead of 10 business days, it can take up to 15 business days to issue the communication. So we are still waiting for this edict to be issued by Frigidaire to replace it. I don't know what to expect at this point, but the way Frigidaire handles this is excruciatingly frustrating to say the least. Another note, I wished that I have never purchased the extended warranty, otherwise I can get my own service person who can do some repair. The warranty is actually preventing me from doing this. ... show more

  • Purchased at Home Depot and extremely dissatisfied
I purchased this refrigerator on 11/16/2020 for use in our garage. It was delivered on 12/2/2020. It appeared to work at first. I purchased groceries and filled both the freezer and the fridge. Items in both the freezer and fridge remained cold. On 12/17/2020, I realized that everything in the freezer had defrosted. The fridge was only cold because it was in the garage and the temperature was below 40. I verified that it was on the coldest settings and that it had power (the light comes on but there is no sound coming from the fridge). I called customer service only to spend a half hour going through all of the prompt menus with no option to talk to a human being. Then I was transferred to Frigidaire's customer service line where I spent an additional 15 minutes dealing with prompts and then another 20 minutes on hold waiting for a representative. They can't get anyone out here before 12/24/2020. I went back to my local Home Depot and asked to return the fridge. It should not fail after two weeks. Even if it is fixed now I will never trust it. Home Depot refused to help me and Frigidaire is taking forever to come and even look at it. No one has offered so much as an apology for the $300 of spoiled food let alone actual help. I received an expensive, faulty product and both the manufacturer and the seller are not standing by it. I will never buy another Frigidaire and I will be shopping at Lowes from now on. ... show more

  • Cheap materials, poor design, don't waste your money.
Stainless Steel started rusting within two years despite cleaning with nothing but water and a soft cloth. Shelves inside started breaking within two years due to cheap flimsy plastic. Also the plastic bars on the door constantly pop out, so everything behind them falls onto the floor when you open the door. We had to use duct tape to hold them in place. Ridiculous that a practically new fridge should be so poorly made that it has so many problems. Our previous fridge was almost 40 years old and held up 100x better. ... show more

  • Total Junk!
Purchased a new Frigidaire refrigerator. Two weeks later the ice maker quit then the freezer/fridge. Called the store where we purchased it and was told to call Frigidaire’s customer service. There was nothing they could do. Customer service said to call a repairman. The repairman can’t come for another week and then he doesn’t know if it can be fixed. Make sure when you purchase an appliance the store has good customer service and a return policy. Total junk!! ... show more

  • Worst refrigerator we ever owned
Had this for a year. Everything in the freezer gets icicles. The door shelf rails on both the freezer and refrigerator pop off constantly resulting in a mess on the floor. The slider rails on the lunch meat drawer are broken.. really poorly designed. We bought in a hurry our old fridge broke. A local store had one and we bought it. Spend the extra money and get a quality fridge. We’ll put this one in the garage and keep drinks in it. That’s all it’s good for! ... show more
