Nothing to dislike about this ice-maker. The name says it all. I like the hollow bullet ice, it makes it easier to make shaved ice… And my husband likes the size of the ice cubes because can he can fit it in water bottles he takes on the jobs. It’s a little bit noisy which I wasn’t expecting. The sound level decreases after the initial turn on. Ice is produced in about eight minutes - nine hollow bullet cubes. The other thing I wasn’t expecting is that because this unit is only an ice-maker, keep in mind that you have to remove the ice cubes otherwise they melt. I make ice cubes to the unit’s water level which fills up a gallon baggie. I love it! And my husband really likes it, so you know if he likes it, life is a joy. I like that it quickly makes ice and the product itself is easy to use. The cons are: It needs to be watched somewhat actively. I don't doubt in a second that it makes 26 lbs per day, but the water and ice capacities are very small. The ice will be sitting in water if you fill the water to the fill line. So lots of emptying the tray and adding water. The other thing is that it makes "wet" ice. So when you bag the ice and put it in the freezer, it's stuck together pretty hard. Yes, it can be broken up, but you end up with some pretty tiny pieces on the bottom of the bag due to breakage. The ice is good because I freeze it at home, but I'm worried about how long it lasts going straight into a cooler in the summer at the camper rather than into the freezer at home. ... show more

I have a great refrigerator, but the only place to put it cant be serviced with water. I love lots of ice in almost all my drinks and this machine can easily keep up. The ice id formed on metal rods which drop off when they're big enough. It forms very cute cup-shaped ice cubes with lots of surface area. Darn, couldn't get pics to download. Anyway, this is an excellent little ice maker! My Apartment fridge doesn't have an ice maker. I had to use 1/3 of a shelf for ice cube trays! Now I can make what I need at the time within 10-20mins and only need a small container to keep the cubes frozen! Happy I went this route instead of a much more expensive separate freezer! This is Great for an individual or Small Family! Of course it makes a little noise, but it doesn't interfere at all. ... show more

We absolutely LOVE this machine. It’s not loud, makes ice really quickly. I’m easily entertained and could watch the ice come down every time. Worth the price if you need ice! We will likely be buying another for our camper.

So this little convenience is just what it is. To be used occasionally. Every day all day will shorten its life. It should not be over worked. I read the reviews and opted in...I wanted the convenience of having ice available, not necessarily every day. It makes the perfect size cubes every 7 minutes. The set up was great. Having to wait 10 hours before using it was recommended and is required for optimal performance. Removing the ice immediately after it drops and bagging it in ziplock sandwich bags makes it easy and convenient for single serve. I am completely satisfied with this purchase . We use this ice maker in our camper. It works incredible! It’s very simple to use, and makes ice quickly. It doesn’t take up much space, nor does it make a lot of noise. It’s insulated enough to make & store ice outside during the summer. I recommend these to all of my friends and family.
