This is my first attempt at an e bike. I wanted good range so I went with the Alaska for the dual batteries. I also added the rack package to it that was well worth it. This bike is FAST. I’m continually blown away by how fast it can go. On a flat road I hit nearly 40 MPH in pedal assist. Realistically you can’t pedal fast enough at that speed so you just have to spin the crank. I back it down to 2 or 3 PAS so I can contribute some pedaling myself to help the batteries last longer and exercise. Speaking of the batteries! I have about 25 miles on the bike and the batteries are still showing 5 bars.I have a short commute to work and it’s been a week now and it looks like I have a long way to go before I need to charge. I like to mtn bike off road and intend to put this through it’s paces in the woods (why I wanted long battery life). The full suspension if comfy and should hold up well in technical riding. The rack package was well worth it for the extra money. Because I commute with the bike I now have the storage to hit the market on the way home. The rack package is a lot of goodies for the money. THE BIKE IS HEAVY. It weighs close to 100lbs. Not hard to lean over to throw a leg over it, but it would be difficult to lift into the back of a pickup. I’m 5’8” and 160lbs and am not intimidated by the bikes weight at all. Some may however. Finally, as mentioned before, the service is top notch! Horland kept me up to date and answered questions quickly. I wish every company I dealt with put this much focus on customer service! I love the bike. More than I expected for an ebike. It's a great bike. I did a lot of research before I found this one. I like that it has both batteries built in. I found it pretty easy to put together. Not much needed to be done. It is a awesome looking bike. It has plenty of power and a long range of travel.It handles great on the country dirt roads that I live on. The seat that it came with was a good quality seat but I'm 64 yrs old and needed a big but seat. Looking forward to taking it on my camping trip. ... show more

UPDATE REVIEW: Five Star! USER ERROR.. after my first contact with the company and they helped me see what I did wrong, then they got me back on track… As I had said this bike is a “BEAST” I have over 350miles on it… So much fun and the life of the battery is amazing… If I ride under 20 miles the battery does not even move and still shows 100% after a 50+ mile ride not even 25% battery use, 85 miles and used only less than 50% of the battery. I ride fast and hard::: in level 1 at 10 to 12 miles per hour: in level 2: 14 to 16 miles per hour level 3: 17 to 20 and level 4: 21 to 26miles per hour. This is the level I ride in most, around 24 miles per hour… I have had it up to 36 miles per hour on flat ground. This bike is AMAZING! I hope I can ride it a long time! As I have said it is a “BEAST “ very happy that I chose to buy this FREESKY electric bike. Can’t be happier!! THANK YOU for making a great electric bike! I was hoping I could keep this bike. My first short ride was just 5 miles around the neighborhood. It was fun and exciting. My second ride I never got out of assist one and 27 miles into the ride. I picked up a nail. Purchase some tire liners had them installed.. went out for another ride went 10 miles on flat ground at assist level three cruising along in a nice speed of 25 mile an hour… decided to kick it down to a lower assist level and this system stopped working. I was only able to use throttle to get it to go about 20 mile an hour after 8 miles. The assist even stopped working so I had to finish the last 5 miles with no assist no throttle… that means I got 18 miles on batteries when I get back I had used 82% of the batteries and just 18 miles.. have been trying to reach out to the company and find out what the heck’s going on with no response. I guess I’ll be returning it. I was hoping I could keep it but if there’s a battery problem, overheating problem or something of that nature, it needs to be fixed and I’m not sure this company is gonna back it? ... show more

I've ridden other E-Bike's but this was the first I had bought myself. Great experience, no problems with shipping and the bike was easy to assemble. It has a lot more power than I need, which was surprising, it has a lot of power. The bike is very comfortable to ride. I ride in the woods and on dirt roads through the mountains and the suspension is fantastic, even on rough animal trails. The bike handles well and has great traction with the 4" tires. It's a good overall ebike that tops out around 21 mph just with the thumb switch and 35 mph pedaling. If you buy the unlock controller you can go 41 mph with the switch. The headlight is bright and works well. The kickstand came apart so I drilled and screwed it back together with sheet metal screws. I also had to replace one of the chargers that was covered under warranty. It Cost me fifteen dollars for shipping from china. Overall I fill that this 2000 ebike is worth it if you know how to work on bikes. I don't care what ebike you buy your going to have to take it in to someone or your going to have too work on it yourself. Just to let everyone know there are no places for me to take this bike to for repairs. I Knew that when I bought this it but i didn't have 4,000 to 10,000 dollars to buy one made in America. Sonders make bikes in America but they are sold out and the company is Really slow. ... show more

I’M GOING INSANE WITH THIS BIKE!!! I have over 50 miles and I still have only used 25% of the batteries charge. It’s the best choice that I’ve made. I’ve done a lot of research and it is the best option for the price range. I love going off the path and so far it’s been a blast. As you can see in the photo it was 28 degrees outside but I’m just having so much fun and I think you will also. Oh; also it does really get up to 40mph FAST.
