We ordered and got our 2 FREESKY ebikes and received them quickly via FEDEX. The boxes arrived somewhat damaged but the ebikes were very well packed and protected so that they arrived without any damage at all. I am 65 (300lbs+) and I was able to assemble each one relatively easily and quickly. If you can get someone to help sliding the front tire onto the frame that would be my suggestion but I was able to do it by myself. The quality of these ebikes (ours are matte black) was surprising – very very nice, better than the pictures. The hydraulic brakes work fantastic – saved my “bacon” this weekend when a car ran through the crosswalk almost hitting me but the 4inch tires and hydraulic brakes stopped me in time. My wife is comfortable on the seat but I bought a wider one and it works very well. We bought luggage rack bags and the 12L bag is great while the 17L bag was too high for me because we are older and not as flexible so when throwing our leg over the bike to get on the seat the taller bag can be a little too tall – but younger riders would have no problem. Their customer support is wonderful – Thank you Steve! The ebikes arrive with 5 speed PAS. The lowest PAS1 is about 10mph which is faster than we wanted to start with so he showed us how to easily change to 9 speed PAS that starts PAS1 at about 5mph which is perfect. My one note is that the pedals are lower ground clearance so be aware of that – not sure this would be good for mountain biking. We ride in relatively flat central Florida and these ebikes have been great on the trails (up to 24mph is as fast as I wanted to try) and we have explored off road around some ponds to see animals, birds, and alligators – places we would not have seen without these ebikes! ... show more

This bike is a monster. So much power. It is very fast. Easily cruise at 35MPH. Customer service is great. When I ordered. They were out of the twist throttle. I received the bike with thumb throttle. Horlan from customer service assured me they would send the twist throttle as soon as it was back in stock. It arrived with all the necessary hardware. Horlan stayed in contact the whole way. While this bike has full suspension. I would not say it is suitable for serious gnarly mountain trails. It is at home on the pavement, and dirt roads. We got this bike for my daughter for Christmas, and although the weather has been cold, the couple of times that she's been able to go out she has absolutely loved it! So much so that her brother wants one too now! The bike preforms better than i could have expected, going 25mph with no problem. You can tell this is a quality build too, she has no problem going through rougher terrains.     • Great bike, mostly.
I have a lot to say about this bike, mostly good. It arrived well packed. Every single item was carefully wrapped. However the screw that holds the front fender and headlight was gone. We found it rolling around at the bottom of the box. Not a real problem, but odd considering the care of the rest of the packing. This bike looks really good. We got the black model and it looks great with gold lettering. It runs like a dream. The seat that comes with it is a narrow mountain bike seat. That may be fine for some, but we replaced it with a wider one. The battery (which according to customer support is made by Samsung) charges with no problem and holds a charge well. However, the charger box is made of molded plastic and has no fan (as my other bike's charger does) and it heats up to a frightening degree-- enough that it's too hot to touch. I keep an eye on it when charging. You should too. Also, the battery just has two settings with the key, on and unlock. You cannot turn the bike off and leave the battery in it. The display screen is full color and very pretty (in darkness), but, like an iPad, it's hard to read in the direct sun. The headlight is very bright, the brightest I've seen on an ebike. It's really nice. Our one big problem was a defective shifter. It worked fine, but the needle didn't indicate the correct gear. The customer support required us to take a video and send it to them, and then promised to send the part. We would have to take the part to a bike repair and have it installed and they promised to reimburse us the cost. However, weeks have gone by and we haven't received the part. I don't even know if we would bother to replace it anyway, as it works fine and nobody really looks at the gear number anyway. We shift based on feel. Despite this problem, I would recommend this bike. It's good looking and rides well. Just be careful when charging (which is good advice for any ebike). Update: We finally received the replacement part. One other thing of note. This bike is really well made, but the fenders are plastic rather than metal and that may impact their durability in hot climates. ... show more
