The media could not be loaded. It's that time of year when I refuse to turn the heat on but also love to have the bedroom cool but the living/dining area toasty. Thus, the need for a portable electric fireplace. Plus I like the ambiance of a fire without the smell or effort required to maintain one. The wide range of temperature control ensure I can have a very toasty night or a not so toasty night on the days I'm having hot flashes lol. The touch screen makes it easy to see and use too. Plus the included remote for the days I really don't feel like getting up. Being able to change through all the color flames with the touch screen or the remote is a nice touch. The versatility of this fireplace is rather impressive too. I have it freestanding for the moment, but me and the hubby are talking about whether we want to recess it or just hang it. It has the capability of all three which is great since it gives me some options for any of my rooms if I chose. Same with the being able to choose between the acrylic gems or the fake wood. Options are seriously great since I go through moods with my rooms. It's the perfect size for a smaller living area or master suite and warms both up (I moved it around till I decided what I wanted to do with it). It's not overly loud either. I didn't really have to adjust the sound on the tv when it was running, so that's a huge positive for me too since I have enough loud noises in this house sigh. ... show more

I was hesitant to purchase this fireplace because there were so few reviews and some of them did not seem to be for the right product. It went on sale for Prime Day, so I took a chance and ordered it. It came well packaged and intact. It took me about 15 minutes to assemble the legs and get it set up. It's really easy to use. I like how I can change the colors and intensity of the flames. I swapped out the fake logs for the acrylic crystals and it looks nice. I don't have much use for the heat function in July, but I tested it out to make sure it worked. The problem is that the flames stop moving randomly. They may or may not start back up when I turn it on and off. The blower is strong, I just thought it should blow out hotter heat. For the price and problems that is has I wouldn't buy it again. I bought a fireplace at lowes that is bigger, hotter and doesn't have problems for $30 less. ... show more

Takes like 15 mins to assemble unless your hanging it or something. It's not super loud but you can hear it. The colors aren't bad remote is simple. It doesn't crank heat out. But it will make a room slightly more comfortable.

The fire lights in this fireplace are beautiful and different color choices cast a modern and contemporary fire like, look. The added crystals pick up the vast display of color options and add to the sleek and modern feel. The heater kicks on and produces even abundant heat. Operation is moderately quiet although you can hear the forced air heater when running. It took me a bit to figure out how to remove the heavy glass front shield as the instructions were unclear. I discovered two tiny screws on each side needed to be removed and it lifted out. The directions refer to a mounting bracket which, after searching, was screwed to the back, and needed to be removed to mount. It is very large and heavy needing two people to manage it safely. Integrated handles in the sides to make moving and installation easier would have been a welcome option. I've seen this on smaller units and it is quite helpful especially if handling it solo. The remote control takes two aaa batteries (not included). The remote seems like an afterthought, difficult to figure out and the battery cover is loose and wants to wiggle loose requiring a little black tape to secure it. At five feet across it definitely makes a statement and an excellent addition to our master suite. ... show more
