Surprised at how quiet this is. At first I didn't think it was working but in 48 hours it has taken out two and a half gallons of water. This is exactly what I needed for a Florida summer. I like that the hose is long, that's one of the reasons I bought it. The fan doesn't seem to blow very strong but it's working. Setting the humidity is confusing but can be done. UPDATE: I'm still very happy with this. It's June in Florida and the humidity is rising. This thing just works great. Removes a ton of water and is still quiet as a mouse

In my many years of buying dehumidifiers, one thing I learned was to expect for them to actually cover 1/2 or less of the advertised square footage. PROS: > MOISTURE EFFECTIVENESS IS ABOUT 75%-80% FOR A LARGE BEDROOM WITH ADJOINING BATHROOM, ABOUT 650 SQ FT COMBINED. >PORTABLE, DOESN'T TAKE A LOT OF SPACE. > WHITE NOISE IS PLEASANT FOR SLEEPING. > GOOD WARRANTY. > VERY EASY TO SET UP. > DOESN'T BLOW HOT AIR, JUST WARM, LIKELY DUE TO THE SIZE, WHICH IS GREAT FOR A BEDROOM. CONS: > NO WAY WOULD EFFECTIVELY TREAT 2500 SQ FT AS ADVERTISED, AND I'VE HAD SEVERAL IN MY LIFETIME TO COMPARE. > IF YOU TRIED TO USE THIS IN A BASEMENT OR REALLY DAMP AREA, YOU WOULD HAVE TO USE THE HOSE, OTHERWISE, YOU WOULD BE EMPTYING THE SMALL WATER HOLDER EVERY COUPLE OF HOURS. > THE HOSE IS SMALL AND SHORT. > OPERATING LIGHTS ARE TOO BRIGHT FOR BEDROOMS. It works! I can’t believe how much water it is pulling out of the air. The tank is large, but it’s so efficient I have to dump it twice a day. I almost went with a cheaper model but read the reviews. Very happy I went with this one. It’s fairly compact and it’s in the way. Highly recommend.

This unit doesn't even come close to the amount of water it's advertised to remove. It can't keep up with maintaining the humidity level for less than half the room size that it claims to handle. It might work for a little room like 500 sq. ft., but doesn't even work for a 1000 sq. ft. room.

Great little unit, but it's advertised to be able to dehumidify up 2500 square feet. It simply does not. I have a 1900 square foot basement and it's completely overwhelmed. In a smaller space, it works fantastic. But if you're looking to dehumidify anything over 1000 square feet look elsewhere. This unit cannot handle big areas regardless of the manufacturer claim.
